315w Ceramic MH first grow. 16ft2 x 6 plant.

Did a little super-cropping on the two larger plants today. This was my first time trying this and just wanted to get a feel for how its done on these mystery plants rather than my known strains and fuck them up. It was very easy amd only split one stem but it wasn't that bad. I didnt pinch hard enough before attempting to bend it and it split open. I plan on doing this to most, if not all, of my plants as the results Ive seen from this teqnuique are excellent. They took to it well and within 4 hours they are already healing, the bud sites are facing upwards again, and new growth from underneath is growing rapidly.
Btw, this plant in the photo is now 7 weeks into veg. It has been topped twice, lst'd many times, defoliated pretty majorly (almost a lolipopping), transplanted 3 times, and gone through nutrient lockout and Ph issues and is still very healthy. This just goes to show the amount of abuse these plants can go through. Yes, if left alone he/she would be much further along, but these were meant to be expirimental plants from the beginning.

Ok, today is 34 days from sprout, the one purple kush that was a week behind is at 27 days. The 2 larger ones are at 7 weeks, but roughly the same height due to lots of topping, lst, supercropping, defoliations, etc.
they are all at an average height of about 12". The smallest purple kush at 8", the rest are between 12"-14". The maximum height I can reach in this room is about 35", but then I'd worry Im going to run out horizontal space unless I stop all lst/topping and just let them grow naturally from here. Due to stretch during flowerig, Im thinking about letting them grow a other 2-3" to allow for them to double in height if needed during flowering. Ive read the White Widow and especially White Cookies can close to triple in height during flower which worries me some, so I may need to last them a bit in flower.

Just looking at these, I could use some input as to what you guys think about when I should flower. Im transplantig most of them into 5gal smart pots early next week as their final pots, govig them one more round of veg nutes, a week to recover from the transplant, and flip to 12/12 in about 10-12 days depending on how they look. Dontou guys think I should let them go a little higher or does my plan make sense?

Not sure if you can see it good enough, but the blue tape on the lamp hanger cords are where I marked the maximum height of where the BOTTOM of the releftor height would be.

Can't believe the day to day growth on these things. Looking better every single day. Flowering will begin soon!

Big mystery girl. Looks fantastic though, am very excited to see what she produce as I don't have a clue what strain.

This is the bud I found the seeds in. Only two seeds found in a quarter pound... And both turned out to be female. It was grown outdoors by a friend of a friend. If I remember correctly it had a very piney/earthy taste... Possibly some kind of kush? Although the buds don't look very kush-like. Doesn't look very impressive, but it tasted excellent and VERY potent. Im very excited to see what the buds turn out like grown indoor compared to outdoor!

So, Im considering setting up the 1000w hps I have laying around. I have a spare 4.5'x4' area I can use. All I would need to do is cut the holes for the ducting, as its an air cooles hood, and buy an inline fan or maybe two to cool it. I would need to mylar the walls, which I already have a large roll of. I think it would be worh it and significantly increase yield.

Go for it, that's a no brainer in my opinion! :bigjoint:

Seeing whats looking like a slight nitrogen deficiency on 2 of the girls. I gave a light feeding to all of them today. I went a tad heavier on the 2 with yellowing older leaves, but not by much. Also, I did a little supercropping today... Holy SHIT these things are filling out like crazy!

I also finally bougt a PPM meter a few days ago. My tap comes oit at 110ppm (well water, lots of calcium), and the R/O system comes out at 5ppm. Ive been using the tap with all my feedings because I think the minerals are probably a good thing, especiallly the calcium.
Today was the first day I fed since having the TDS meter. With Foliage Pro @ 5ml/g and Protekt @ 2.5ml/g (10ml FP/5ml Pro in 2 gal.) my final pps were at 650. I believe the recommended for soil per their feeding guide is 635ppm using 5ml FP and 5ml Protekt per gallon with starting water at 50ppm. I use half the Protekt as people have said its pretty potent stuff. Ive read people using 800-1000ppm+ in soil without issue but Im not going to push it.
Heres today after feeding. Taken 2 hours after feeding and minutes after supercropping. The 2 larger on the right were very very droopy at time of feeding so they perked up fast.

White Cookies #2 - one yellow leaf at bottom, otherwise looks fantastic.

Larger bagseed plant - had 5-6 larger yellow/folded up leaves like this but I picked them off earlier.

These things are getting DENSE! The undergrowth is just insane. Im Very impressed with the penetration of this 315 lec. Ill get some closeups down in the centers later.

Heres just a close up of the largest bag-seed girl, I count 13 main colas on her, not to mention all the lower nodes that you can see are going to do quite well too. I also included some close ups of the under growth on the large purple kush that is pretty insane considering I essentially lollipopped her and stripped off most of the lower shoots... But many of them came back and are doing cery well. Lastly, is the big White Cookies girl that I am absolutely in love with. Just the formation and the structure of this girl is incredible. Ill definitely be growing out more of these.
These all have a pretty even canopy of 16"-17". By the time I switch to flowering in about 10-12 days, I believe they will be close to 20"-22".

Had to move the two purple kush seedlings out from under the hid and under a ho t5. They were getting waaaaaay too stretchy.

... I also couldn't resist the temptation to tey my hand at my first cloning. Cut 3 smaller lower branches from one of the larger bag seed plants, dipped them all in cloning powder. On one I made a small split with a razor at the end, on the second I kind of scraped up the last 1/4" a bit, and the last I just planted straight it. I jist wanted to expiriment a little.
Hey, it seened like an awful waste of light for only 2 seedlings... Right?? ;)

Good luck I took two cuts yesterday as well and out them right into solo cups as well to experiment and see if they would root.

Transplanted all of the girls into their final 5 gallon smart pots today. When I got home my favorite purple kush girl was severly droopy and lifeless. I almost had a heart attack. Every single spot I had supercropped 2 days ago was completely bent over. After a brief freak out I gave her a good watering and she recovered quickly. It was definitely time for a transplant because I had just watered 2 days ago as well, so I didn't think they were due already!!
This was her yesterday, the big, healthy girl front and center:

Phew! We'll see how she looks tomorrow.

Just wanted to show some pictures of how my room is set up so that when I talk about possibly using a "second room" you can see what I mean.
My grow area is in a shed. The shed actually consists of 4 rooms. The main entry way which houses our water heaters and electrical for the house. The second room is about 8x8 and we have considered using this eve tually as well. All of these room have seperate doors and are able to be sealed off. Finally the back room(s) were built by the original owners to serve as a meat cooler for curing/hanging deer and such. It is well insulated and temperature variation is minimal. This is why I chose this space to be my grow area. This back room consists of 2 small rooms. The room Im currently growing in is 3.5'x4.5' (so basically a 4x4), and the second room is 4.5'x6'. 4x4 of which is usable grow space. This area is currently serving as space for storage, water mixing, calendar/note taking, and a shelf for clones/seedlings. I am considering removing the shelving unit and turning this into a seperate flowering or vegging room. We have also been considering using the whole back 2 rooms for vegging, clones/seedlings, morher room etc. and turning the 8x8 into a flowering area.
Here are some pictures that show the space Im working with:

Just got home. Update from yesterday. Transplanted, watered, raised fan, cleaned... All that.
Today... Looking the best Ive seen. Absolutely gorgeous! Now, if only I can keep them this way!

Only small issue Ive seen is some very small whiteish-yellow spots on some of the leaves of one plant. We do get bugs in the room... Nothing bad just some craneflies from time to time and some small moths, so for now Im chalking it up to that? Or maybe very light water droplet burns? Idk, if it the start of an issue u knkw of let me know though. Its hardly noticable right now.

those are looking awesome Kushy. keep up the good work.

Thank you sir! This fist grow is a really good experience. There were so many times where I thought several of my plants were gonners for sure in early veg, but with patience, and good watering/feeding habits they pretty much take care of themselves and bounce back from just about anything :)
