It seems you keep getting negative feedback, positive too, yet you keep putting up pics of some very nice plants! good work, i'm hooked!
 
why so many haters...not everyone wants to install high cfm fans with big silver tubes going every wich way...cutting holes to vent $hiot....some of us just want to have a cool little closet with some cfl's or led's....low heat...low energy bill...so what if I dont get 20 pounds off it!!!!

I am right there in the same boat. I wish i could use the HID lights. But just dont have the money or the room to set them up right with intake and exhaust and shit. But your grow looks great sofar.
 
I have a question for you. Can you take off the clear lens on the front of the LED lights. I was just wondering if it could be eating some of the available lumens. I can see some reflections of the cfl's lights on one in a pic above. I thought that for clear glass or plastic that if you can see a lights reflection on it that it would trap some of the light passing through it. I may be just high and confused.

bahahaha that's retarded. paying $600 for something that grows the same as a 400watt..the electric bill is what, $30 to $40 more? my 1000watt only raises it about $40. that UFO light thing is a total scam, its way too expensive for something as powerful as a 400watt. if you wanna experiment then more power to you bro, let us know how it works out. but for those of us who want to save $ and go with what is proven most effective, then id be highly skeptical over something so sketchy.

to the original poster, the plants look nice so far dude - very healthy and green! i cant wait to see what flowering produces. maybe the high will be different in a good way, ive never really seen/smoked weed grown from led's (atleast that i know of). you should get some more of those LEDs for flowering, maybe one or two pointed at the sides so they get optimal light. keep us posted!

why would the same plant that has affected humans in the same way for hundreds of years no matter where or how its grown affect the human race differently because its grown with a led light?
i still stand by the thought that they aren't advanced enough to be using for anything other than veg im not as stubborn headed to say that they wont be one day. but ill save more money using hps than buying and replacing expensive lamps.

what on earth are you talking about? outdoor vs indoor are different highs and sativa vs indica are different highs. also, HID light vs CFL light are different highs - with cfl being mediocre as shit. why are you freaking out over me speculating? think about all the different types of weed and different types of highs, now chill out with this aggro single perception shit (lol @ "affect the entire human race differently") - you already said you agree with what i said about LEDs anyway.

LED high could very will be different than an HPS or CFL high, its a speculation so deal with it. its not like the high would be totally different, just a simple thought.

in all honesty, i was really just trying to be nice to the poster cus i really dont think the high will be that good at all lol. but hey, if he gets like 15 more of those lights for flowering then it might produce some good stuff - who knows..
 
ive never noticed a difference in cfl and hid high. ive only noticed in diffrence of high because of different strains. outdoor and indoor have different highs because people generally let the outdoor to proper potency and plant maturation/ if not sometimes longer, whereas most people growing weed dont let it get to full maturation indoors. they see the seed marketer say it takes 8 weeks to finish and cut it @ 8weeks+1day(just to be sure it has great couchlock lol.) in fact ive seen very few other people on this web site let plants go till calaxes are huge as hell and leaves are painted yellow from N vampirism.

The stretching between nodes is pretty severe... I talks to a guy at osiris and he told me that you can eliminate that stretching with just 2 hours of HPS lighting in the "morning"....Not sure if it is true...


Looks like you should flower early when using LEDs...

plants look nice man this is an interesting thread im curious to see the potentcy of buds you get, good job and good luck and who cares what people say about this grow, its clean, the plants look healthy, and no one else has really had an LED thread that was interesting. so the best of luck to you. if i was you i would add another cfl in that empty socket.
