4 Plant 600W grow

Sorry for the crosswise pics, I'm real new at this.

I'll get some info on the grow if anyone is interested.

The WR is pic#3, super dense foliage almost like a head of lettuce.
All have been topped/fimmed and tied (LST)

Me too! as this is my first full indoor deal after growing outdoors since the 70's.

These 4 plants are robust, I'm pretty sure it's gonna turn out well. Gonna switch to flower in a day or three here. Maybe a week.

Running organic or chem ferts?

Nice looking ladies. Are you going to transplant to bigger pots before the switch?

Not going to up-pot for flower, I think we have plenty of root room.

As far as soils I use a base 50/50 mix of MG Organic and Fox Farm OF plus a healthy dose of perlite and dolomite. And MG ferts. Anybody care to stick around to the end and see what the wicked Miracle Grow can do? As you can see under the current MG regime they are struggling to survive.

What made you decide to give miracle gro a try? Have you worked with it before?

Since the 70's, when it was all we had. You have to ask yourself if the worlds largest seller of potting soil might have a clue what they are doing.

I'm just asking cause to be honest I haven't heard many good things about MG.
I have never used it myself and probably never will cause I stay away from places that keep their soils outside.
To avoid bugs and other contamination. Ill sub up to the thread and keep up with your results and see if my mind can be changed.
just because something sells doesn't mean it's the best it just means more people know about it.

Thought I'd toss up a couple pics

First is a cheese, second white widow, and a pic of the little grow enclosure 5'X5'

I just switched these to 12/12 a couple nights ago. Got them LST'd and tied down hard. All 4 plants blemish-free, not a pimple on their green goodness.

Lighting is one 600W HPS, one 125W 2700K, and a few 6500's thrown in there just because.

Ok if anyone is interested here's a photoshoot from today. Same 4 plants I showed in post #1 13 days ago.

Left to right are White Widow, White Rhino, then 2 Greenhouse Cheese - 6 gal pots

They are growing slow and steady. Started 12/12 lighting about 10 days ago. Took them outside for some real light today and they are lovin it, they all got a good spraying with the hose and are drying off working on their tans.

I have trained them pretty hard to keep them low and they are intense bushes. Everything is 12-14" with at least a dozen nice dominant buds per plant. Packed under the 600w they are about a 40"X 40" square, I think they will bush out at a 48" square for the 4 of them. I'm gonna just let them grow up now and make bud.

Anyway all is well, questions comments and suggestions welcomed.

Yeah I do think so. I've spent the first 2 months constraining them, they are getting ready to get down and get with it.

I took the pic right after I had messed with them tying tops over so they look a little rough. Anyway right at 14 days of flower and not much going on. Have hairs showing on the Widow but the rest haven't thrown the switch yet, any day though. Really looking good in my opinion. Kind of boring I'll admit so far but just wanted to show them off a bit. Comments questions appreciated.

How strong are you mixing the Miracle Grow? I have done a couple MG plants just for experimenting this past year because I used to have pretty good luck with it 20 years ago. I'll tell ya I never have to read the labels to tell which ones are MG, they are usually way greener. I had to quit both times though because I gave them too much and started burning them. I ended up finishing them off with plain water for the rest of the cycle and they yielded the same as the others. If I could just control myself and only mix 1tsp per gallon I think they would be able to take it all the way through without damage. Good luck and I'll be watching.

I mix a tsp / gallon every watering. Half normal and half orchid mix. A couple times per plant cycle I'll feed full strength which is more like a tablespoon. Anyway they stay green and growing, learn to read your leaves as to whether they want more or less. I keep reading about all this nute burn but have never really experienced it. Makes me wonder......

Sounds like a good plan to me. I usually tried to go 1 tbs per gallon every other time but sometimes I would forget if I fed last time or not etc....until they got too much. I think 1 tsp every time is how it was engineered to work; with hard tap water too. If you want more comments about the MG you could put it in your title and get more responses. Then again, you may not want a lot of negative comments. Either way good luck dude.
