Yeah...it usually pays to get a few grows under your belt before dispensing advice to the masses. 
The guide IS HOWEVER, informative, and appreciated.
BTW, it's kinda funny that you put distilled water saying "If you can drink it, your plant can drink it." Since humans can't survive on just distilled water. It's lack of iron is what prevents it from hydrating us properly. If you spend a week in the desert drinking distilled water, you'll either need a helicopter to fly you out....or you need a casket....
I wouldn't advise distilled water to plants...I would just balance the pH on ROF (reverse osmosis filtered) water and use that.
