400 watt Mh/Hps: Grow on a Budget: A Beginner's Reference

You know what sucks, is that with working so much I don't have the time to tend to my gardens like I used to be able to do. I want to start growing another strain, but I don't know if I'll have the time dedicated to young seedlings. I want to grow out some mendo purps that I got from BC Buds. I dunno what I'll do next but hopefully it'll be good.
 
hell yeah JB, sounds good :) if you do decide too... id be happy to follow it :) and as for the,starting to see a change in the plants from the nutes, id say... maybe within 2-3 hours... at max :-P and then you should start seeing them be alot happier.... or atleast me and Dac do with ours haha.

Hmm. I've never had such an issue with ph before. Theryre perking up a little bit but not 100%
 
ya itll take a day or so to come back to 100%
But you should see some results within a couple hours.

Yum! Mendo Purps! Sounds good as hell! Ive seen pics of that strain, its killer!

Hey! I understand the whole, No time anymore thing. Im struggling to find time for my plants. I do, But not near as much as I used to.

Good to see ya bro. Yeah, I saw results almost right away, but the leaves are still curling under a little. Not as much as before, but they're plugging along.
 
glad to hear they're doing better JB, slowly but surely. they'll perk back up :-P hope they snap back to it, and get all their ducks in a row :-P
 
Ok so I checked on my girls this morning and they are looking very beautiful. One thing I forgot to mention is the fact that my big bud girls are not curling like the bliss which leads me to believe that it's just genetics of the plant. PH is at 5.8 so the pH is good. I'll get some updated pics up tonight hopefully.
 
I've had the same RIU format for the past two months or so...you can change the layout if you want by scrolling all the way down to the left and choose RIU '08

Hope that helps...
 
RIU home page homie...scroll all the way to the bottom and you'll see a pull down menu check out all the cool themes...RIU 08' is the easiest way to go IMHO...

Here's 1 week later from last pics...

still figuring out my pH schedule, but they're def perking up...

I snipped a bud from one of the Bliss' and threw it in my vaporizer and now I'm twisted up nice (right before work I might add LOL).

Things are growing along nicely :)

This being a 400watt growers post, ?, do any of you guys change your bulb or bulbs? Cleaning bulbs? Too many folks around for Christmas my plan is for Jan. 2010 to start a grow. Opinions welcome as to bulb questions.

Hey gobbler...welcome to RIU...

to give you an answer to your question...I change into a new bulb every 4-6 months or so...Depends on your schedule...a Mh bulb that is set on an 18/6 lighting schedule will need to be changed sooner than an Hps bulb set at 12/12 schedule....Hope this helps, and let us all know when you begin your new grow! yeah, that big bud leaf looks a mix between indica, and sativa... :o

and yeah i found the skins thing just as i read your post up there haha!, RIU 08 does look neat :-P and your babies are looking fantastic.... great job JB :)
 
Wow! Looking great JB!

They are long like Sativa and fatter like indica. Very nice genetics!
