4x4 cxb3590 first time grower

I am currently using roots organic in 7 gal smart pots. All plants have been topped twice and i have pruned the bottom 1/3s of them. No deficiency signs other than slight nute burn after i water them sometimes. I experimented with supercropping on 1 plant and i am waiting to see how she recovers before deciding if its for me. Built a scrog net just not sure if i am going to use it. I am feeding the fox farm trio liquid plant food for soil. I follow the recommended dosage on the labels. 4x4 tent good ventilation. Humidity between50-70% (clorado is a dry state) temp between 72-78*F
 
That would be 48 watts a cob and if i calculated right around 1300+ppfd. May want a dimmer on those driver
for some extra control early on. Gl OG
 
@GreenSanta i am interested in 100% real organics, like no till soil. There are growers who do not check ph or ppm or ec. They dont feed plants anything but filtered water. Its a matter of keeping your soil alive. There is a video by Mendo Dope Vision on youtube ft Minnesota Nice who shows a bunch of interesting techniques that he proves to be very effective

I used info from growmau5 video that said 56w per cob. Now i did the math using the formula he gave which is Ohms law and you are correct. 49w per cob. Thank you. May i ask what formula you used to find ppfd?
 
Okay based on what i have found courtesy supraspl‘s post on another thread my ppfd would be about 1121 ppfd. I could be wrong. Help? Lol

U are way ahead than I was when I started! I don't ever ph or anything. I reuse my soil, sometimes rammend sometimes not. Sometimes straight water sometimes not, depending on the plants. When I do I use certified organic liquid nutes. Keep it up!
 
Thank you, im trying to soak up as much as i can. Dont give me too much credit... By waiting till now to learn how to grow i have more resources to pull information from then you did when you were starting out.

Respectfully, from the pics I've seen of your grow room it looks like you have a lot of vertical room to work with - which allows you a lot of flexibility with just raising the lights. With height limitations, I think dimmers can be a saving grace. My tent (for instance) is 6'6", unless I take my light off of the pulleys and connect it directly to the top bars, I need 14" of top clearance. 7-10 gallon pots are around a foot tall, so that leaves about 54" of plant space. It gets eaten up fast. Currently I'm keeping my COBs around 32" over my plants.

In my admittedly limited experience, the best thing a newbie with intense COBs can do is give themselves PLENTY of room to back the lights away. Most of the nute and leaf issues can be mellowed or slowed by moving the lights further from the plants while we're figuring out how to react. But, if height is not available, dimming is a good substitue. Just my opinion.

Actually, I don't know that I'll ever run mine as close as others do. I've chosen to go a very simple grow medium route, so I'm gauging my lights to work within those limitations. If I find my yields are not sufficient I'll have to up my game, but for now I'm focused on simplicity and easy maintenance.

As a first time grower, you would be guaranteed an awesome yield of the best quality. ORGANIC IS THE WAY TO GO. I would do 4-6 plants in 10 gallons pots in that space. GOOD LUCK chinuh man, you will thank me later.

I like to use organic soil and blumats. Great taste, quite and easy to tend to. I swear my plants have learned how to milk the blumats sensors lol
