Vipars are inefficient. That's what makes them "garbage". The only thing is that I would probably take a 250 watt Vipar over a 250 watt HPS. But then low watt HID lights tend to be less efficient than higher wattage options.

No heat with your light? Bullshit. Your 260 watt Vipar puts out the same amount of heat as a 250 watt HID.

Veg AND bloom switches? Wow.

You can get a complete 600 watt for around $150. 600 watts of Vipar are going to require the same amount of air movement/exchange.

And lastly, no, your Vipar is not equivalent to a 600 watt HID. It's equivalent to a 250 watt HID. Even with the highest quality cobs/panels/strips available, you'll still need to get into the 400 to 450 watt range to match a 600 HID.
