5 o'clock's winter garden

lookin good bruv how many weeks into flowerin are they? ur watchin mine so il be watchin urs:bigjoint:

I put them in a 24hour dark on the 9th and started 12/12 on the 10th so Saturday will be 4 weeks. If you looked closly at the pics you'll see there are some indica that i hope to be done in 8-9 weeks but the rest are sativa and won't be harvested til near April....

I had better luck last year putting them directly in soil. I wanted to try the areo thing this year. i probably would have had better luck if I wasn't so lazy. I was told that i also should get a res heater and that would help. The water was sitting on the basement floor and it was pretty cold. I should have put h2o2 in when I first saw the slim also. Oh well, what are you going to do?....

The heater helps, technically to be true aeroponic the roots need to be suspended in air, I use rockwool and let the roots grow out of it before I place it in the cloner, this keeps it true aeroponic. I have only had once success going straight to net pot and no rockwool.

So did I screw up by just putting the cuttings in the neoprene and letting the misting heads spray on the stem instead of putting then in some kind of medium?

No, other people seem to get that to work just fine, some strains will root in anything. My strains are a bit more delicate and by using a medium I don't need as much support for the plant because I depend more on the rockwool and expanded clay for the plants support and also a buffer in case of pump failure.

I also can ensure the clone takes root before I waste any real electricity on it. Then I place them in the veg unit at the higher level and let them grow a bit and then move them to the lower level veg area. I think this will keep the stretching low, I'm only using a couple of CFLs for veg right now.

Well you have read my threads, expect a cloning tutorial post tonight on how I do it exactly. I have to find room for it in my signature now.

It's been almost 2 weeks of straight water. I was feed, water, water, feed, water and so on. I think I got out of wack and gave to much nutes. I thought I could water it out but after watching a bunch of leaves claw up and not recover as well as burning them I decided it was time to flush. I used Clearex, it says to mist the plant and then put 15ml per gallon through the pot. The hydro guy told me that if I let it sit a while and flush again with 1-2 gallons the next morning it should clear out all the salts and unlock the plant. So we will see.....

Sounds like what I would do/suggest also. Have any recent pictures?

Here it is, the update I promised..... I rotated them again and went through each plant checking for breeding qualities. I picked 6 with traits that were what i was looking for like tight bud formation, node spacing, crystal formation, and smell.

I also found a hermie. It was just starting to put out the pollen bannanas. Thankfully I caught it. i dug it up and put it in it's own pot and since I killed the males I have that 70w HPS to allow it to finish somewhere and not effect my garden.

I went through the plants I wanted to pollenate and dipped a brush in the pollen. I brushed the pollen on some of the lower buds. I was following FDD's seed production thread and he said it takes about 6 weeks to produce viable seeds. I picked the lower buds because it will allow me to harvest the plant when they are ripe and leave the lower buds to finish the seeds without loosing any of the tops.

I don't have the world's best camera so my pic's aren't as nice as they could be. And I was lazy taking pic's when the plant's weren't in the HPS so the tric pic's arent the best either. I'll do better next time.....
