5 plants 400watt HPS

Hello, this is my second grow and I'm looking for some feedback from yall. I am on day 16 of flowering. I have been feeding them 1 tsp of Tiger bloom every watering and 1.5 tsp on the most recent watering. I have a feeling I'm underfeeding but I'm very scared to overfeed, what do yall think? Water is pH'd 6.8 with pH down. All the plants are up to my belly button.

Can anyone tell me why the leaves are all curled under like this? What should I do to fix?

Plant was getting too tall so I bend it. Lower leaves are yellow, looks like a nitrogen deficiency. I'm feeding 1.5 tsp of Tiger bloom every watering.

I did not think you was supposed to feed every watering. I always hear it more like feeding every third watering. The salts can build up in the soil and hurt the plant. I would flush the pots and just give nutes every other watering and see how they do.

When I flush the soil, should I add nutes right after the flush?

Ill tell u your problem, your using chemmie crummy nutes. Chemical ferts are MUCH less forgiving than organic nutes as iv learned from experience. Also id get some more lighting in that room. 400 wont get u diddly squat from five plants, too much foliage, not enough light penetration.

I disagree. Fox Farm nutes are organic! Earthworm castings, Norwegian kelp, bat dodo, all that good stuff. That don't sound chemical to me.

As to question from enjoikr3w, NO no nutes after flush. Flush should be with room temp water and 2 to 3 times the volume of the soil. Blow the bad stuff out, let her recoup (although I don't think you need to) and then start nutes again. From what I understand, it ain't a bad idea to flush every month.

I doubt you have an overfert problem (I should know, I had one DUH). As for the yellowing of the lower leaves, that's normal. They are really nice ladies. I'd stay the course and do as you are doing.

If you really think your underfeeding, kick up the nutes a tad and watch the girls. They will let you know.

I wasn't planning on growing 5 plants which is why I only have a 400watt. I thought I would end up with 3 or 4 females. I'm not complaining though haha. I have 3 more CFLs which I would like to use but for some reason my electricity keeps shorting out when I use them. It seems as if a 400 watt and 1 CFL is all my plug can take. This is a mystery to me since these lights are way under 15 amps and no other electrical items are used on this circuit. oh well

You're doing well.

However, one question - what's the dimension of your growing space? Ordinarily, five plants isn't an overly large number of for a 400W HPS, but they're relatively good sized. Fit them together in as tight of a configuration as possible that also gives good light penetration to your lower branches. It looks like you only have a couple of bushes, and the others are growing in the one main cola fashion.

Next time flower your plants when they are a bit smaller. I like to grow about 4-6 plants under one HPS, and like to switch to 12/12 when they are about 8-10 inches. I harvest one plant every 2-3 weeks and the plant usually yields around 1-1.5oz. Strain is Burmese from VISC. FRUITY FUNKY SKUNKY!!

But what you've got right there will certainly suit you well when you're done.

My growing space is about 3'6"x4' and I have a lot of vertical room. I have them all packed together pretty tightly as you can see in the picture below. I'm hoping I get an oz per plant as well.

nice plants damn 1 oz only i would want atleast 2 im a grow with a 400 watt too..how did u start your plants..? did u just throw the seeds in pots or what?

Well I really dont know how much bud to expect. Should I expect more than 1oz per plant? My buddy had been saving up dank seeds for me so I decided to grow them. All mystery strains. So yea I just threw them in pots after that

I use FFOF soil and have for many years. I only use their nutes as well. You may have mild burn but I wouldn't even flush them, just skip the nutes next watering and NO MORE Grow Big until about your 4-5th week 12/12<---one feeding at 2tsp pr gal: they look great and if anything maybe a bit over watered(is why I 'd say those middle leafs are curling/drooping as they are). You should be on the BIG BLOOM heavily right now @ 1Tbl per gal every watering and 2ts Tiger Bloom. Using the Grow Big w/TB is probobly what's caused your mild burn.
Great pictures! Your plants look great!! Your light will be fine for this grow too, though add what you can. Keep your ventilation up, your temps/hum where they need to be. Let them girls dry out a bit between waterings(did you add perlite to the FFOF?--I add about 20%).
The only negative thing I 've ever been able to say about FFOF, and the FF nutes is that they do have a shelf life-as most 'organic' liquid nutes do. Grow Big does have the micro-nutes and trace minerals and it can be 'hot' if over used-----show me something similar that doesn't. I use their soluble granulars as well, which kick ass, though I am sure not 'organic.'
IMHO, for anybody to talk shit about using these products, just doesn't know first hand, or cant afford a top-notch easy to use line of products.

Thanks for the indepth help growing man! I'm not using Grow Big and Tiger Bloom together. I stopped using Grow Big when I began to flower.

So you're recommending 1 tablespoon of Big Bloom and 2 teaspoons of Tiger Bloom every watering? This isn't too much? Since I'm doing 1.5 teaspoons of Tiger Bloom every watering now.

And yes I have added extra perlite to my soil. I am watering about once every 4 days. Some of the plants have even began to droop since I waited too long to water so I dont think I'm over watering these babies.

.....right on, and you should be fine! It's 1Tbspn Big Bloom to only 2tsp TigerBloom....

Oh wow I have been very conservative with my feeding. My babies are starving! Im gonna up the feeding from now on. I'll add Grow big to my next feeding since I'm coming up on week 3 flowering. Thanks again growing man!

very nice, how big are they now? and how big when you started to flower?

They're about 34" tall right now. When I began to flower, some were 22" and others were 16". Somehow they all evened out haha.

Almost three feet tall eh? I like mine to be around 18" max. The burmese strain I have from VISC grows in one main cola plus four 'satellite' colas as I like to call them.

From plants that large, with more wattage I would expect 2-3oz per plant. Considering you are in week 3-4, if you keep your bloom feed going then there isn't any reason you shouldn't be able to hit 2oz/plant. I can regularly pull 1 1/2 oz from a two foot tall plant. No reason you can't pull more than that from three footers.

Again, your POTENTIAL for big yields begin with a strain that has big production potential. You can't get more yield out of a low-yielding strain no matter how good of a green thumb you are.

Next time I'd flower at about half the height you did this time (8-11in), and increase your plant count. I try to grow a bunch of main colas and satellite colas. No fluffy popcorn buds for me!
