500 Watt Blackstar Grow- 5 L.A. Confidential, 1 OG Herojuana (3rd LED Grow)

So this is the second day for the clones. They are all settled in their temporary pots, under a Light House Hydroponics 300 Watt Flower model LED. This was the first light I used when I started experimenting with LEDs, and this little 300 got me 3.75 ounces off a 1 plant SCROG. So I am pretty sure I can use the same light to vegg these six clones. The LED light goes into this stealth grow box. It was my feeble attempt to stay small and low pro, now look at me now with the grow tent grow! The clones are adjusting well over night and they are sitting in FFOF. When I transplant them into their Sunshine Soil, I will start feeding them House and Garden Nutes right away, because the soil has no fertilizers in it.

That is my yield goal. I think it is attainable. I think I will be disappointed if I get less than 12 zips.... The screen will be full in a couple days, she's taking to the tent nicely. I see you don't waste any time starting your next grow! lol Takin it old school, dig it.

Dude I have heard of someone growing a pound off a 1 plant SCROG! If your patient and switch that screen to flower at 80% youll be good bro! Im watching your grow too!
can you translate for me? switch that screen to flower at 80%

Sure Hippy! SCROG is a screen of green. So what you are doing is taking a plant and training the plant to fill up the screen you are using. The main stalk will grow straight up, but you will move it so that it goes sideways. Over the next few days the growth will go above your screen 2-3 inches, at that time you move that growth sideways to another part of the screen. You do this with the whole entire plant till 80% of the SCROG screen is filled. Once the screen is filled 80% then you switch to flower. This increases your yield greatly, because parts of the plant that would not have gotten much light, now has all the light. After 2 weeks into flower you usually cut all vegetation below the screen for good air circulation and it helps the plant focus its energy solely on the Colas above the screen. You can click on the below link to see my full SCROG grow journal when I first started growing with LEDS:

Im guessing based on the bud size, pistils and trichs this will go the full 60 days.. What do you guys think, 60 Day cycle?

Tasty looking buds sleezy! I'd say somewhere around 10-15. Depending on Trichs like you said I'd guess it would be up to you whether you'd want more clear or amber. Ya know?

Did you start counting the 60 days from 12/12 or from when they actually started "flowering"? They might take more than 15 days from those pics, lots of fresh, strong, White pistils and unswollen calyxes. Don't rush them.

Ya I think your right there. I'm not going to rush them, but I will check daily. I started counting the day I switched to 12/12.

Just counting down the days.. Shooting Powder has been at its maximum levels for 2 feeds now. Buds should start pulling everything it has from within. Im getting restless because I am nearing the harvest, and I just want the days to fast forward so I can smoke these delicious, stanky, juicy, sticky buds!!:joint::joint:

Watercure a zip or so, it'll be fully ready in 7 days, will be lacking most of it's taste and smell, but it'll get you high as a kite!

I always watercure a few grams and make hash, nothing worse that sitting on a pile of green and having nothing to smoke for 2-3 weeks (smoking wet stuff is just the biggest waste, but irresistible when you've nothing else).

Thanks for the suggestion, luckily I have an ounce left of $100 OG kush.

Here are some photos at day 48 of flower. I have noticed some of the leaves turning orange to yellow. I have been following the House and Garden instructions of using 5.2g of Shooting Powder per 1 gallon container. I have noticed that my previous two grows using this strength shooting powder makes my plants fan leaves die after turning orange then yellow then dried up. So next feed I am planning to reduce the amount of shooting powder to 4.0 grams and see if that stops the color change. I think 5.2g is too hot for my girls.

Looking forward to seeing them naked!

Sup Brother? Good to see you here! Ya I should start counting when I start seeing flowers too! I just use the 60 day mark to really start checking my trichs. If they are still milky and not any amber Ill just wait it out. Its worth it to finish it properly to the end! This time around I had no issues with PM, so im pretty happy! Smells so danky and so sticky! Supposed to be ready around Nov 5th. So ill start checking then. Im checking out your grow now.

You should really harvest when they're mostly milky with some clear, really gives the high that the strain is supposed to produce.

If its an decent indica it'll still give you a body stone, but you don't want the handicap-making "mong" feeling of too many Amber Trics, it's just wrong.

When you get Amber the primary psychoactive ingredients have been lost already.

Ya once I see milky with a few amber I choppy chop! I know amber means that the potency is starting to diminish.

So the countdown begins. Constantly checking trichs and hairs to see if these girls are going to be ready in 9 days. I think we are pretty close to it! I reduced the amount of shooting powder to 4.0g per gallon so I would not burn them so bad, and I did another quick trim so most fan leaves are out of the way of developing buds. But I don't want to cut too many off, because I know the girls need to grab their nutrients stored up in those leaves. The girls are definitely making a last push to produce more buds. All the buds are very very dense, even at the very bottom of the plant. The OG Herojuana is kinda disappointing. It didnt produce much buds, and the ones at the bottom are popcorn like. But the buds that are there, smell so very danky and I know will be a great high. Ill be lucky if I yield over an ounce with that runt bitch.

Update: Just checked trichs for the first time tonight. MOst of the trichs are now milky smooth. On some buds Ill find one or two amber trichs here and there, but mostly all milky. I think the day is quickly closing in and I will start possibly flushing on Wednesday for a harvest on Saturday. Since I use House and Garden nutes with drip clean, I only have to flush 2-3 days. The time is getting close!!
