5000 Joints Grow Journal

do you grow in soil or is that coco? also what nutrients do you use?
Very impressive previous grows, it must be hard keeping your grow a secret, if I had colas like that I would want to run down the street shouting "LOOK AT THIS FUCKING COLA!" ahahahah
good stuff man
LOL. I DO!! LOL . The first year of growing I loved to show off my nuggz. Now Im alot more tame and keep most of it for me. I dont get many chances to smoke with someone, but I do carry a rolled one just incase I do bump into someone that smokes.

I use FFOF soil. FF nutrients. FF Tri-Pack of additives. Then flush for 2 weeks.

This perticular grow Ive hardly been able to use any nutes because the Sweet Blue Diesel is so nute sensitive. Theres a couple phenos that look like kush plants because there so short and fat with super tight internode spacing. Thats the Sour Diesel "kushy" pheno influence I used for the cross. I'll take some pics tonight and upload them in the morning to show you. It looks as if alot of these phenos are gonna be much better yielders than the 1 pheno I grew out last run.

and the Veg room. Many of these plants will be thrown away and the best 4 strains will be kept for mothers.
So far we got:
1) SOUR CREAM
2) PURPS
3) ??? SAGE ???
4) ??? JAMACAIN LAMBS BREAD ???

If you look closely at the leaf tips you will see a little nute burn. I started giving them the Fox Farm additive "Open Sesame". I reduced the FF Tiger Bloom and FF Big Bloom in half and feed them water, water, feed, water, water, feed. Instead of water, feed, water, feed, and still got a little tip damage. The EC of my tap water is high. Thats why. I need to reduce the nute strength to a 1/4 strength. Not 1/2 strength. The problem should go away then.

maybe a Pur or a Brita or a small boy. ro system.. any idea if taking the ppms away with a filter... and adding the nutes to replace.. would plants grow faster stronger??? with more nutes in the water..?:?

Well, more nutes doesnt exactly mean faster, stronger growth. A plant can only do what its genetically designed to do. Our mission as a grower is to give the plant exactly what it needs when it needs it. No more. No less.

Ive looked into a small boy but cant get it just yet. Soon.

Perfect care = Perfect bud. Ive grown the same clone side by side with a grower who has different nutes and stronger lamps and my bud was waaaaay better. Its all about the care given to them.

ya well.. it takes time to get everything dialed in right.. but what i ment.. was .. say ur tap comes out at 400.. and ur bringing it up to 800 wiht nutes.. so thats 400ppm of nutes.. or starting from near 0 with RO water and feeding 800.. with 800 of nutes.. would it be any different in growth or in anything for that matter..

ya ive noticed.. when i dont have a fultime job.. its not to tough to give the garden 100% of your time.. but when i do work.. my bud dsent come out as good as it does wen im spending everyday with them..
im getting soo growsick ("meaning i need to find aplace asap and start germing the new genetics!".. )

No. Not really. It would be the same. The nutes arent the main thing in growing a plant stronger, faster.
Only giving a plant exactly what it needs when it needs it will bring out the fullness of any genetics. Sometimes plants will finish a week earlier if its grown right. But thats about it.

My neighbor came up with 2 big brownies baked with Super Skunk butter. Ive never had edibles before. It was pretty good. I ate both of them and within 1/2 an hour I was feeling it pretty good. I was good for about 6 hours. Its alot different than smoking it thats for sure.
I could taste the weed butter in the brownies so I know they were strong. It almost reminded me of eating shrooms and the first few minutes when you start to feel the trip coming on, only I didnt trip out. I got stoned in the end. A real body effect.

Yeah there's a difference, I don't count whatever the ppm of tap is in the total. So if you have 400 water and you want 1200 nutes you need to bring it up to 1600. I have a friend who's tap water is 800! Which is scary and I wouldn't even use it. I wouldn't use any tap if it's over 3-400 cuz it just tells me the water is too dirty. My tap is 150 luckily and I use it, although I do let it sit in the sparklets bottles at least 24 hours with the cap off for the chlorine to evaporate.

In Week 3 of Flower. Every Plant is Healthy and flowering nicely.

Ya I let my jugs of water sit for a few days before using them to get rid of the chlorine.

u lose some of the chlorine.. u wont lose it all.. and then the chlorimine stays cause it doesnt evap like chlorine.. so the tap water will still alter organic nutrients.. is what i was told.. fox farm being chemical and organic it really was made to be used with tap water so its not a big deal ..

Sup Mr 5000Joints

We have FROST at day 21.
Pic 1 - The FROSTIEST plant so far. Of course its a Sweet Blue Diesel. ;-)
Pic 2
- Jamacain Lambs Bread
Pics 3 thru 5 - Sweet Blue Diesels.
Pic 6 - A cropped shot of Pic #1.

Side note - Im spraying them again today with Dutch Master Reverse and Saturator to eliminate any possible hermies. Using bagseed is a risky game but after seeing some of the phenos I got Im glad I took the risk.
Also - I didnt take a clone of the frostiest pheno in pics 1 and 6. Im pretty disappointed, but I did take clones off the nicest growing phenos. I hope this pheno doesnt end up being the best one. Ide hafta kick myself hard.
