Why you say not best on market? Who would have a bette 600 watt strip light? How could the ones you have be less effective than lets say Gavita, the Zeus pro, or the Luxx lighting strip light?
Your not going to get a better light for cheaper BUT i dont know all about the uva/b and the other reds that can be mixed with it. Its going to perform just as good as any of those name brands but you may want to add more reds or uv's.

Are you going too? Im thinking this is key, but just don't know. I wonder how your lights are diode count wise to the others out there. Im thinking better. Wonder what the count on the reds are compared to others. Im just about sold. Fucking again...... Fucking LED.......

I would go with strips for DIY. More even coverage and can place them closer to canopy. Cheaper to replace one strip if it fails than a whole QB.

The best way to use QB’s is to get more boards for a higher diode count and run them softer so they run more efficient and can be spaced better. Basically you are trying to replicate a bar style fixture.

It makes more sense to evenly spread diodes over the area you are trying to cover. I imagine that boards will be phased out completely by strips in the future. Boards are just easier to assemble for DIY, but strips are worth the extra effort IMO.

Nope , not yet. i'll wait till there is more info to read. Diode count wise....the gravita blows this one away. i think this one is about 2100 diodes per light and the gavita is over 3000 i think. Most of the other brands are about the same as mine ...im not sure. i literally paused the video on mejui and counted the diodes for myself. At the time , the price BLEW AWAY the comp. now hlg is coming down to less then 1k so we shall see what happens next.

Im with you on that one.... it took me over 6 months to pull the trigger and even still i wasnt quite ready. my partner made me do it. now im happy its all over , now i can focus on more important things. Since then i have built a bunch of lights and couldnt be more happy with the pre builts and the diy lights.
The diy strips are much easier then they appear. Its pretty much all basic math and you wont need a heatsink if you build your own and run them soft.
