NIce big plants you got. 6 mature plants? that's it? M Blaze hit on sum point earlier bout the veg time. The shortest time my friend harvested was 3 months. After about 8 or so sumthing grows under his belt, the veg to harvest time was averaging bout 4-5 months ( of course this not included perpetual growing ). Yeah they'd grow big alright. Just the waiting sux A!

SCREW TOPPING!!! that only stresses your plants. LST is where it's at for that. Just gently bend the main growing shoot over to allow the lower shoots to become tops. Do it as many times as you want until you achieve the amount of tops that you want. and NO stressing the plants. Never cut them if you don't have to. my 2 cents.

next grow practice topping your plants so you will have 2 or 4 main colas on top instead of one

FIMMING is too unreliable. You never know how many tops you'll get, and sometimes you kill the top altogether and get none.
Like I said earlier. Try LST. It's the fastest way without stressing your plants to get more tops... I'll attach a pic of a plant I am using LST on showing how I tied 2 top colas over, allowing the inner portion of the plant to receive light and become tops... You can see them bent over on the left and right hand side of the picture (tied down with string).
I think that you will like this technique if you give it a shot... Good luck either way. You grow good looking ganj.

how does pheno or geno types matter when it comes to cutting a plant? do you mean that some are less stressed out after being cut? I've never considered that before... I also cant see where either of those things would matter when fimming . fimming is not an easy technique to master. One wrong cut and the main growing shoot is toast..
