6,if you could only grow 6 how would you do it?

I am wondering the best way to do 6 plants. I guess 6 big 5 gallon dwc buckets would be the best yeilding? Am i wrong, I kinda hope so. How boring! I love ebb and flo and aero nft sytstem. I would love to get a max yeild with one of those. But I am thinking that 6 trees in big dwc would ber the most efficent.

Right now i got 12 vegging from seed. They are 3 weeks in on a ebb table in 4 in rockwool blocks in turbogarden pots. Yhe pot also has rw cubes and tire muclh on the bottom for drainage. What should i do peeps? Just having fun trying to decide. I will repp for good ideas/

I'm currently running a 6 site ebb n flow using 5 gallon buckets and a controller bucket. I tried DWC in 5 gallon buckets last time and it was too much work for me (I'm lazy). So I took the best of both worlds and combined them in one system. Still ironing out a few minor kinks, but seedlings go into the system this weekend. if you could only have 6 plants and had enought light...you could put the plants in 7 gallon pots with have 2 plants over each 1000 watt..grow to about 2 feet and supercrop them....
orr doo some huge scrogs..it was take a little while but you could do 6 600s with 6 plants each under a screen...good luck..

get a paddling pool big piece of wood across the top cut 6 holes in it and make youself a big ass bubbler veg for 4 weeks and you'll have monsters , wish i had pics but they were saved on anothe site i'm no onger a member of

grow em, sex em. them chop them into little pieces and root em. SWIM just turned 2 foot tall ladies into 11 littler ladies. they're all flowering now. 6 plants is enough to start a perpetual.

I imagine the OP is trying to stay under the legal laws, in which case I would say it is going to depend on your space availability and how much you want to spend. Plus the larger you want your plants the longer you will need to have them veg as well. Any every day in veg is a day it isn't in flower.

Of course, I was referring to that the OP is concerned with best yield while only using 6 plants for likely legal reasons(or maybe just assuming 50/50 on their 12 seedlings?). And as you know yield is always going to be mostly relative to how large you let the plants get in veg. So I meant you can veg for 3 months and flower for 2 and get a big harvest in ~5 months. Or you can veg for 1 month and flower for 2 for ~3 months.

2.4 harvest a year vs 4 harvest a year. The yields will be different sure, but either way you will have tons to smoke. The difference is that not all of us have the space or patience to veg until they are giants.

So if the OP can give us a better idea of what kind of room we have to deal with, and what lighting they intend or are okay upgrading to, then we can give much better answers to balance the space/lighting/yield equation.

Only having room for a cabinet is a lot different than having an entire room to use. I know this because I only have room for a cabinet, which makes me a very sad panda.

what i would do and planning to do is get something like this

this thing is insulated so keeping the res cool should be easier. This should be able to hold 6 plants just fine, and at 48gals, thats plenty of nute solution.

Get a small water pump, 200 or less GPH. This is mainly to be used to change water during water change, have one end of pipe in res, the other in bath tub (buy a long tube, not expensive) but it can also be used at a feeding agent if you want to do a drip. Buy a timer if you are doing drip

they are 4x10, so 10 should fit perfectly and be enough air bubbles to cover all your roots

don't use a aquarium airpump, i don't think those are good enough, this mug is powerful, i personally use this


get 1 600 watt (sunmaster MH for VEG), as to this will cover a 5x5 area. (do not use sunmaster if you use E-ballast's, there have been to many reports of loosing bulbs)

LST them and top them, once most of the colas are @ the same level screen them(scrog)

i thought it would be rude to awake a dead thread. ow. i finish everything. I chose and went with a 3x3 botanicare tray i got for a good deal. i going to to be keeping legal. 12 immature then i take the best 6 for the rest. I did read your resposnes and repped heath moon after reading his entire thread. Damn. My plants are doing good in turbogarden pots for now. I will hopefully get bigger pots if everything workls out. I lstd my plants yeaterday and was busy with that. Lst is fun wasy and be careful doing it with nl becasue wow can they stink when handled. Ty everybody. Seriously i saw the thread after a few days and thought no on would eb that interestd in it after this time.
however for 6 i kinda wish i did not jump on the table and went for a rainforest. It is still early. I might be too nub for a scrog yet. As you can tell i like to post but i follow up everything.

here are some pics. the pots are 5.25 by 5.25 by 7. In side there is a few inch layer of mini rw cubes then 4 inch rw blocks. I read on grodan that big blocks hold more oxygen than mini cubes, so i mixed them. Here is my clone system. I read al bfucts so i know about the dome being unnescecary. I have a seedling mat a tray and an inseert and the dome. The mat kept everything at 29 c all night. Also ty again, i resonded so fast when i saw the post back in the new i typed a little off. You see i knew i was in trouble. ty all, once again i was offered a kiler deal on the tray and always wanted one.

also i had hernia surgery. sorry.

Oh yeah, lol, i under for now i 400 watt hps with vonversionm bulb in a 4x4x6.5 tent with 400cfm inline fan and 6 inch charcoal filter and passive intake. Heat was a prob not so much now. Still worry. I gonna upgrade to a 600 watt i think soon. In apt so no 1000 on my shitty electricity service. The funniiest part of this is i was a elctrician in the navy and couldnt tell u dick on how to wire your house, i did airplanes lol. I did howver wire my ballast to a new hood, impressing myself.
Also if you can affored one, i highly recomend you get a 3x3 _(40 by40) botanicare tray. DAMN! this thing is nice. Dains well, but the best part is the sturdiness, i can work with the plants on the table. I am using a crad table as a stand. Lol, i save myself 100 bucks there. Stands are an arm and a leg. It is nice to be able to move the pots around. Also you can see i have the euro hood from htg. I feel like a fool, i would kill for a cooltube. Wasting some light, i feel. Anyhow thanks gents,

i fig on this table i will veg out till i can lst over the 36 inches 6 plants then flower. I plant for a scrog screen in the future, but i am aways right now due to the rest of my life from building one currently. It is tempting to fudge the numbers on plants but is sure easier without the worry. Besides it forces me to think creativly. I had forgotten you can do more than 1 ounce a plant with all these sog threads.

Note on my prgress- Lst of 12 immature plants is going great. Realy easier than i thought. My stems are curiosly more pliable than i would have imagined. Rofl, I have them bent over themselves! Some only made it to 90 degrees, but that is awesome. Loving the level feild, now i want to top, but everyone is of the consensus that is crazy. Everyone except for a few adamant supporters and being the adventuresome type i will prob go ahead and do that. Lst at 2-3 weeks then top at week 4 from seed. That is how things are shaping up.
I got a prob. I found a rainforest for 40 bucks!!! Shit, i just bought a 40 inch botanicare table. A day later the rainforest goes on sale. Lol, for 50 bucks i gonna have to through away my atm card to keep from buying it. Anyone thinki should ditch the ebb for a rainforest. Idk. I need a place to make 12 immature so the table is great, and it is easier with this CA heat. Ow that is a killer. Legal but dont want to talk to cops anyways. Also with this economy air will kill my cigarette habit, lol, as in no more cig pack fund. I am cheap.
I got an econo light catalogue in the mail today. They sell 4 bulb t5 for 75 dollars. Nice! I might I want a mother tent and seperate clone area. I got one setup until she hits past 3 feet at least. Clone cab. Those 99 dollar free shipping tents on ebay are perfect mum tents i think. Gonna have to invest. 2 tents in my bedroom. Hehe.
