600 watt closet grow

Today was fruitful! found out a little more about the Thai Seed. its a actually an accidental cross from some dude in Thailand. Its a Hash Plant x Thai x Unknown. Also got 4 more seeds germinating today. One is LSD, not the actual one though, this is a stable cross of Life Saver & Sour Diesel. The other 3 are a strain called Sour Bubble. Supposedly a pure (or almost pure) Indica. I was told that it grows in a single cola formation, doesn't do well with topping and usually grows into 1 bud total height ~2-3 ft. None of the seeds are feminized which is good because I'm looking to select good mothers to keep a perpetual grow going. Some pics of the Soil I'm using for the 1st grow. (on a budget and have had good results with Black Gold in the past) will be switching to a custom mix as funds become available for cycle's down the road. Also posting a couple of the grow room, which is still under construction.

Got home from work today to nice little surprise. The Dutch Skunk popped! I knew it was a strong seed. Nice and dark. Here's a couple of photos of its new home. Now this was my idea because i thought they were just awesome, before I realized that I'm an idiot. It's going to be be a pain to transplant in like a week and they will probably already be a little bound up. But I still think they're awesome. I'll have to make an Alton Brown style smoker with one of these tiny bastards and see if i cant make some "smoked" hash after harvest! LOL!

Another Sour bubble! 1/2 germ rate to date. We'll see if i get another. The Thai seed might be split, its either a dud or it's going to be open soon.

Just a quick update. Got ventilation & RO system ordered. Should be here within a week or so. Now if only i could get more of these seeds to pop or even one to poke up through the dirt. This patience shit is over rated, I want them out right NOW!

Checked my seeds on Monday and the last Sour Bubble had kind of popped. Not sure what happened but as i tried to pick it up it squished very easily, it may have been me but i think it partially rotted. None of my germed seeds have popped up yet. Been 9 days for the Dutch Skunk so i carefully removed the light layer of soil over it, it hadn't even changed from when it was dropped in only the color had changed it was of course dead. If the 2 Sour Bubbles don't pop by Sunday ill be checking them too. The only reason i went after the Dutch Skunk so early was because of the tiny pot. Here's to hoping its not bugs or the soils not too hot. I did however find a tiny white worm in the DS pot. I'll do some looking tonight see if i can't find out what it is. If anyone has an idea of what it may be go ahead and shoot me a PM.

Still have clones lined up but I have to wait for my buddies plants to be ready for clones to be taken before i can get them. In the mean time I dropped some more bag seeds since i had such a low germ rate. Was probably me putting them in soil too soon so ill give these a little longer before dropping them in soil. Flower chamber is almost done (this will also be my veg room for the first grow too since i don't have plants in different stages yet) just have to cut holes for ventilation and I'm ready to get started. 440 CFM fan should be enough to keep my room at almost reg house temp, which runs between 75-85 this time of year. Ill be happy if i keep the room below 87*F. OH! also i should be getting a hom ebrew strain tomorrow from another friend, he bred it himself and calls it "Bob's Badass Kush" i think. Ill post an update with photos when i get in under the light.

AAAAAAAAAANNND THEY'RE OFF!!!!!!!! Just one plant in there. Found out the strain is called Bob's Killer Kush. I'll call it BKK for ease. From what i understand its a cross with a *GASP* Kush type strain. No idea on the other. It was rescued from a HORRIBLE location outdoors, since it was planted outdoors way late this year i assume it was going to be manually turned down but it wasn't getting enough light so i took it after my friend transplanted it and verified it bug free. Its been indoors about a week and a half. Probably going to be a crap yield but ill flower it just the same (assuming its a female). I'll be taking clones for the friend and for myself to perpetuate since the bud from the mother was supposedly kick ass. The reason i think it will get a crap yield is because i assume its been over watered or over fed, having a hard time deciding, but its still in fair condition at best. Check out the pics.

As to the other seeds i started i definitely think i just planted them too early and had a low germ rate due to temps. I thought the cupboard i had them in was warm enough but after checking the temp its 73* this evening so it probably drops about 8-9* at night like the rest of the house but even if its closer to 5 that still puts me in the 60's. I put the new ones i germed into another spot and i have had 2 germ now in about 24 hrs with tap root about 1 cm long when planted. The next ones to pop ill let get to about an inch and see if there is a difference.

So even though i'm still dicking around with seeds and a rescue project i have good known genetics on the way just have to wait for clones to be ready. Patience is a virtue and I was "Out Of Stock" apparently.

Also finally all please post here feedback on my room and what you think is wrong with this plant.

3 seeds in the ground plus the BKK. 2 of the seeds have popped out of the ground the 3rd i let the tap root hit 1 inch before dropping in (this afternoon). The BKK is has grown an inch since sunday night (no nutes yet they are on order) and all the new growth looks healthy. Went and got a cheapo PH meter ill have to check it against my buddies nice one to see how close it is as im starting to think the curling leaves is a PH issue. If the meter is correct though my PH is too high about 7.3-7.5 More pics today of course. Oh yeah check out pic 6, i always like more ladies in the house.

Holy Nipple Clips Batman, what a bitchen day. Got some clones finally, still more on the way down the road, but probably not until closer to December. Got what appears to be 3 types: Purple Berry, Purple Arrow and the 3rd is either another Purple Arrow or a Medijuana. Funny thing is the guy who took the clones did so after getting super baked and forgot to label the 1st 2 sets of clones so its a toss up. Should be obvious enough when they hit flower at least. The medijuana has been predominantly indica & short with a very distinct smell. The Purple Arrow isn't tall but it should be leggier and have purpleish hairs if the trait sticks. The Purple Berry buds grow so purple they are almost brown. The PH meter is only about .2 off so it will work for me. Should be a fun grow. More photos today.

Transplanting was an adventure. Seems to have gone very smoothly. Not even any droop yet except for the possible Medijuana which went floppy last night and i figured id put it in a bigger pot with the rest and hope. Got some FFOF to combine with my Black Gold mix. I think this should provide some more nutrients as veg goes on. More pics yet again.

Cloning day has arrived! I think it went well, but only time will tell.

And finally - although some people might think its cruel to taunt another plant by cutting up her friend right in front of her i had to take it a step further, I'm hoping this will encourage her to grow FASTER DAMNIT!

Well cloning happened 9 days ago (from the time these pics were taken). Explosive growth of course. Its nice to be growing my own plants again. I'm going to pat my self on the back here, they're not perfect but they are growing faster than most setups I've seen including Hydro's. Without further ado here are some pics:

The purple Berry's are hungry bitches, been feeding them 2x then watering 1x repeat, Using Dyna-Gro Foliage Pro + Cal Mag at 600ppm and there are still yellowing. Bumping up the nutes at the next watering to 1000ppm for them and the BKK but will continue to water the Purple Arrows @ 600 for 1 more week since they look very healthy green. The bag seeds (hopefully the clones too) will be transplanted late next week after i pickup my T5HO for the yet to be setup veg room. The current room will turn into my flowering chamber. Some of the BKK clones will be given away to the friend who provided the plant in the 1st place and after i winnow out any males from the bag seeds hopefully my first 2 bud cycles will contain 8 plants. As soon as possible i will start a mother plant of each type (maybe 2 mothers of each) and pull 4 clones a week and then keep the best 2 to go into flowering. The goal is to harvest 2 plants each week.
