I would suggest simply decreasing your amounts (~20%) rather than "flushing" prior to harvest.
Otherwise, you're looking good.

As a side note... shouldn't this forum be a form of "collective" or such?
I find it astonishing for some to bash others about topics that they very well themselves have NO credibility with (i.e., accusing someone of poor growing when they apparently can't keep a leaf green)...

Hey everyone! I wanted to make another video to go with this update, but I'm just so busy now that school is back in session, I just don't really have the time to do it yet. But I will be making another one soon!

In the mean time, here are some pictures I snapped this morning! I tried to get a variety of pictures of my different colas, so while there are a lot of close ups, it is almost each individual top bud. There's also a few group shots thrown in. Enjoy!

Heck yeah!

So I picked up a quart of Botanicare Sweet, I'm going to use it very sparingly though. I'm considering also picking up some Cha Ching and using it for only one or two feedings waaay under recommended dosage. I may not be able to get this for another week or two though, so I don't know it may be past the prime time to use it then. I do need to pick up more of that OtherTomato though ASAP.

Wow, I want to share this incredible speech with you guys. This is so righteously uplifting, it's the speech Dr. Ron Paul gave after taking 2nd in New Hampshire.

Dude, the whole reason to use DynaGro in the first place is so you're not wasting money on tomato this and sweet that. Look at your magpro label, it's sweet with an NPK contribution. How many products are you up to now after sweet and cha ching? Ten products??? You're making this way more complicated than it has to be.

Save your money, just get some blackstrap molasses and some bat shit mang, then grab some other tomato with the extra cashola if you really like it. Does your All-Phase smell like rotted ass?

Hmm after thinking over your words HB and then reading Shwagbags' suggestion, I've decided to not purchase Cha Ching. I already have the Sweet, but I haven't opened it yet, so I'm going to try to take it back, they should take it back they are usually always pretty cool about things like that.

The All Phase does smell slightly "rotted" but it actually has a very sweet delicious smell to it at the same time, but w/ a good deep scent you can smell almost 'sour milk' underneath, but it does smell good enough to make you want to take a sip (lol i don't advise of course).

The stuff is very expensive though, and since now I should ideally have decently if not superbly established microcolonies, I think I will take you up on your suggestion and just pick up a nice bottle of top quality molasses. That should suit me fine until the end of the grow, I may look into some kind of all natural zyme too rather than going back to my hygrozyme, as the Other Tomato has bacterias that zyme the plant, and I don't know how that would continue if I stop using it; whether or not that bacteria develops microcolonies that continue to zyme or not.

Thanks for the tips, though HB yours were a bit blunt :bigjoint:, thank you though nonetheless for not 'sugar coating my taco' so to speak.

Plants are looking so great I think they hit their 2nd growth spurt today b/c I looked in this morning and this evening and they are so much chunkier looking now then just the last couple of days! Also I can see why people chop off new undergrowth now, b/c my plant has been focusing on making a lot of small mid/low level buds to fill in the space between the trellis and the colas, I wonder if I had chopped all new branches as they grew (or most) if my colas instead would have chunked out more and more (and I do not mean brutalizing my plants leaf system/'lollipopping')

All my life I've heard of Bat Guano as the stereotype for 'uber soil enhancer' but it now that I'm actually using soil it has never occurred to me to use it. I'm a little late in the cycle, but I will DEFINITELY keep it in mind for future grows.

Oh yeah, also I have been thinking more and more about the flush, and seeing as how my leaves are turning yellow at a healthy rate/ratio, not too fast and definitely not too slow, I think the plant may have just eaten enough of it's own nutrients by the end of it's life that I may indeed not need to flush but only for one or two feedings at the very last 5-7 days or so, maybe 3 feedings tops over the last like 8 days of straight water/molasses. But yeah I've been considering what you guys have been saying and thinking of how some grows I've come across where the peoples leaves are deep green all the way up to the end of cycle or are crazy burnt at the end of cycle; so I suppose it is those kinds of guys that would need a flush, right?

That or ones w/ accumulated salts of course.

But yeah, I still think the water w/ just a lil bit of molasses to feed what's already in the soil should be enough to not only flush the plant but keep it sustained and nourished off of it's own soil system, after all Roots themselves claims right on the bag that they don't need fertilizer, the soil has everything the plants need; so hopefully my bacterias that I've been feeding have built a thriving ecosystem.

No it doesn't smell like rotten ass lol, it actually smells pretty sweet. However even under that sweet smell there is a slight pungent pinch of sour milk (the lacto brew most likely).

My apologies if blunt was a bad thing but I just don't think you know which way you want to go. Do you want to go organic by feeding the soil and developing a micro herd? Or do you want to use mineral-derived nutrients that are already in inorganic form and ready to be utilized by the plants? It's not only difficult to do both but it's expensive and unnecessary. All this enzyme, carb, guano and microcolony talk is for the organic crowd to worry about. Your roots don't need any help absorbing those mineral salts. It's your grow though and things are looking good. Hopefully one of these days you'll trim the fat from that nutrient cabinet of yours.

This picture was taken today, day 48, DynaGro only:

Considering the deal I got I'm just trying to make sure I'm getting what I paid for lol. Mine smells like rotten ass but what I really mean is more like sour milk lol.

HB has makes a point, there comes a time when you have to decide which way you want to go. If you think Smokey needs to trim the fat HB, you should see my nutrient cabinet LOL. I've tried both ways, and I must say I prefer the end results of organics over other options for color, odor and flavor. Its actually more expensive to grow organically and requires more work but I love the end results.

Those are nice buds GB, lush green foliage for that stage of flower, my organics begin to fade at about that point as the plant ripens. Do you use the entire DG lineup? I know its relatively small and basic compared to shit like AN and H & G etc., not to mention a fraction of the price.

I use the Grow, Bloom, Protekt and magpro. The prices of the gallon bottles themselves aren't cheap per say but it's highly concentrated and lasts a long time. It's simple because it's never a guessing game as to what my plants need. I used to be an organic guy when I first started out. I'd make my own soils and the whole process was a big pain in my rear. There were always a half dozen bags of 'stuff' sitting around that I'd use to make my soil with and I guess I traded those bags for twice as many bottles when I switched to the dark side . It took years to figure out that 80% of those bottles contributed nothing to my grow except for time and that's why I'm where I'm at now. Everything my plants need can be found in one bottle.

These days I do add a sea kelp or humic/fulvic acid additive in hydro as I like its contribution. In promix however, I do not see a benefit with any additive I have sitting around so my promix girls get protekt and a base only.

If it is the 'Other Tomato' that you bought, the stuff turns green and thins out/turns your water green when mixing after it goes bad. It should be a nice rich thick blood red and a couple of 'chunks' aren't a bad thing. Did you end up getting that 49$ gallon from ebay?

I think something is not right with this All-Phase, it has chunks in it lol. Is your shit chunky?!
