This is my first shot at hydro, and hope I can get this setup and rolling fast. Any comments are totally welcome. I am no expert, but could really use any help. pics and more info to come...

Is flooding every 4 hours ok when I'm only using hydroton? Sorry I haven't taken any pics yet. I was working real late on it last night. I plan on vegging for 2 weeks , and then flipping to 12/12 since my clones are pretty good sized.

Alright I'm running the 2 week hydro feed schedule I found online which says 7.5ml of grow per gallon, 4ml of Pro tekt, and .5ml of magpro. Do you think this seems like a good regimen, or should I do something else???

Also, when people talk about "topping off the res" are they talking about just adding a couple of gallons and then checking the ppm, etc? How do you go about topping it off? Please any advice.

The clones look like they are perking up a bit since transplanting last night. Hopefully they get some stronger stems. They stretched a bit during the cloning process due to me leaving them in there so long.

If I understand topping off the res correctly. As your plants use up the water and nutes, you replace what is used up with PH'ed water.

Each feeding schedule is going to be different for each brand of nutes, just go with what the schedule says but more importantly see how your plants are reacting to it, watch for nute burn and stuff like that, just get it down to a science and use the ratio of nutes that makes your plants the happiest!

You don't need 7.5ml of grow. I use 5 each of grow and protekt, that works great. Plants grow fast and healthy, so using any more is a waste.

Flooding every 4 hours is unnecessary too. During veg, twice a day is usually plenty unless you have heat problems that are causing your plants to uptake more.

Just add back water to your res. No nutes. After you add water, pH the whole magilla. In other words, don't add pH'd water to your res. Just add whatever water you are adding then adjust the ph of the result (if necessary; if you are using Protekt, you will find your pH is pretty stable and you might not need to mess with it much.

i would like tooo taggg along... i got tables myself but am not using em at the moment... using dwc bucketsss under a thousanddd /big Budd strain... with a screen on top... i want to see how your sog turnss out man. good luck

I actually have a couple of Chronics going myself. I found one that looks like my keeper. Has a large cola, but waiting for the others to catch up.

Just replaced the reservoir with 5ml of grow/protekt per gallon. I really need to get rid of some of these plants. I have waaaay too much going on here. Don't have enough time in the night. I can already tell the hydro will be 10x easier than the soil once I get it dialed in though.

Holy shit. I need to update this. They went crazy bush mode over here. Hoping to get 1/4-1/2 lb, but probably be closer to 1/4 lb. Once I get my mothers in hydro, and have enough to clone hoping for 1+lb per month.
