Yes, 1000W Low Freq Square wave. I have 3 of these on hand lol

fuck yes I am happy with them. they are hard to learn at first, they are SUPER POTENT and you have to keep them higher than you would think and feed a bit heavier than you would think as well. once I raised my lights and dialed them in they would slay it in veg......and in flower for that matter, I have one veg rig built and 5 or six BIG flowering arrays that will do a 4x4 with ease at 600w. if I crank them to 880 you gotta put your fucking welding goggles on :)

that doesn't mean I'm not interested in CMH or QMH or quantum boards/photon fantom boards. they say the benefit of the 315s is multiple light points, more uniformity etc. with the COBs I'm pushing ~40w per sqft in flower, one cob per sqft over the entire grow.

I'm thinking 315s for my veg area, and COBs/DE for my flower. I really wanna do CMH because I like the CRI values and ease of working around. its hard to read the plants in that orange fucking hps light.

I apologise for not being specific when I was talking about the photons...

I don’t really like to compare efficiency with HPS and CMH I think that maby wrong in a way because don’t forget your plants.

I like both HPS and CMH. All lighting is good for there own application and all plants are different.

If you mix CMH with HPS you get the best of both worlds,

So what is the verdict on running double ended 630 watt CMH In a Gavita turned down too 600? Is there a frequency issue, spectrum issue? Thanks for any factual thoughts :)
 
manufacturers claim the lamps were not made to handle the high frequency of the ballast. i ran one just fine for 3 months on a dimmed galaxy ballast in a covered hood (just in case) until i got the ballast made for them. as for spectrum. would need a spectra graph to know for sure the difference there
 
So are you sayin the boys that built the fixtures are not wanting certain bulbs in them? Because they are not getting a piece of the pie?

Low frequency bulbs put in high frequency luminaires = shortened life of bulb, somewhere on the order of every 4 weeks for some.
The real thing is right around the corner and I am excited.
 
I've been trying to figure out the difference between the Vendor SunPlix "FuzzyLogic Tech" & other low frequency square wave ballasts.
To me it appears they are the same. Doing what digital ballasts do, compensate for the bulb.
Anyone know enough to speak on whether the "FuzzyLogic" thing is any more then just that?
Considering testing CMH against my LEDs & HPS but only want to get the newest tech.
I know they veg like no other.
@OneHitDone, I know what you mean about the a Daylight Blue MH being the same w/ less efficiency but I don't thinking is. Close but no Cigar.
Have you seen how well these things veg?
Over n over I've tested my LEDs vs my DaylightBlue Mh & time after time they all seem to even out in veg between the Amare, HH, & 600 BLUE MH.
But these here cmh's I think are what it takes to get that outdoor veg plant.
The 4k in DE is sick. At least the bulbs SunPlix offers. It's the sun in a bulb.

I decided to pull the trigger on a CMH tent today.
I don't know much about them other than my friend says they are awesome. He suggested I get 3 vertical 315's but I ended up getting 2 630 de's w/ an 8'x8' tent. Hopefully this works out good, almost think the price is too good to be true.Screenshot_20180506-175307.png

I couldnt say for sure but many companies do that so i wouldnt put it past them. I only ran the lamp in a galaxy for a few months. It may have made it a few years or it may have blown at 6 months all i know is G.C origonaly said the galaxy would fire the lamp just fine then later when they camo out with the fizture they said its dangerous to run them in any hid ballast

The Nanolux 1000 watt CMH is out at Growers House. Anyone bought in or heard anything about its performance, yet?
 
I have four of the Nanolux Summit series fixtures and have been using the 630 DE CMH Bulbs. One burnt out in eight months and was replaced under warranty. Now another has burnt up two weeks past said warranty. Only three runs so far on them.
anyone else using these?
