65% humidity too high for drying?

get a cheap-o $100 30pint dehumidifier, hell I have one i'd sale in the Garage… than again rain seasons coming maybe i need it lol. I suffer from dry ass summers and possibly the wettest fall/winter/springs in the country… got 2 dehumidifiers in the house.

With that little dehuey most will have a setting to run constant, 2 hours or 4 hours. I would run it for like 2 hours twice a day and as far from the buds as possible. I tried drying buds with the dehumidifier set at 45% and left it in the room for the whole process and it over dried them in 6 days, so be careful.

But like dude above said a small space heater (thats how i do it instead of a dehuey in the winter) I set my space heater temp around 68 with a small fan blowing the air in a direction away from my hanging plants.

slow and low that is the tempo…. hang drying doesn't take 5 days, if it does your shits getting to dry to fast… 7 is borderline fast for me… 7-10 is typical in ideal conditions, with some buds (like Sensi Star or any of the Big Bud varieties) could take up to 14 days with those thick chunky buds.

ok i dry in 3 days, and let cure for another 10 days, only opening every 2-3 days.gets the best taste and consistency. i dont kno why it works but it does. i worked by the rules before.but not anymore

My drying room is in the 60-65% range always, perfect for drying imo, throw a fan on to keep the air moving (indirectly, not pointed at them), have never had mold or any other problem, typically about 8-10 days depending on how wet the plants were when chopped. Leaves a little moisture in there which brings them to a perfect burn after the cure.

Lol I read the first page and I started to type and freak out, but then I read the second page lol yea listen to greenS here....50-55% is way to low...you want about a 7 day minimum dry....65% will take you there just fine....if you give enough air circulation to the room so it's a consistent 62-65 (don't put on buds)....if you use a drying box or tote...exhausting air works best...
