Seems to have been a real problem in the past. Just gave it a quick glance back, and it would seem that Cococola managed to place 5th (According to Byleetch's spreadsheet) in the last comp using an 18oz Hefty Easy Grip. Wonder how many 18oz cups have actually slipped through in the past. IMO next comp should have a mandatory photo of the bottom of cup with size identifier to be included with every first post.

I wouldn't be opposed to asking for this on the next scheduled update from everyone. I'm going to include a bottom pic with my scheduled update tomorrow. just because there is no reason not to.

My bad guys as soon as I get home today I will be updating, I'm left with 2, my blue mystic and 1 Afghani! the other one show male pre flowers on Tuesday but since I work till like 1-2am I didn't have the time to take pics and all so I just got rid of it, have a good one everyone!

In light of all the controversy I looked at my cups and they are generic with no volume markings and in the pic it looks like a can!....lol.Thats a number 6 inside the recycle symbol and a very small number 107. L8R

I never noticed any of it either.................remember taking a pic of the bottom of my cup for froggy though......then sg john pointed-out he was running a "taller" cup at the end of the comp.

some people think that an extra 2oz will make a huge diff............genetics do

I thought mine were the same but I checked the cup of one that didnt make it and it has "16IN" on it, so lucky me. #1 is my current, #3 is the empty cup. There's going to be others with cups that don't have markings... no way they should be punished for that at this point in the competition.

first pic is the girl i passed up in favor of my power kush (blue hash)
the next are just my competitor at different angles.

topped off the cup with soil at the beginning of the week and have increased the strength of feedings slightly, so far so good I havent really had any issues with her, shes still a nice shade of green and buds are starting to form up nicely.

Im having a blast competing against y'all and I must say ive seen a couple of really nice females so far so good luck to everybody and remember.....

Yeah, the cups I used (16 oz./473ml) had nothing but a similar stamp to the one you just showed. This would not be fair to those using 16 oz. cups that aren't stamped with "16" imo.

My fucking dog chewed the MAIN power cord for my Mini Fridge grow cabinet and when it shocked his stupid ass, a COB fried, A circuit in my apartment blew, my air pump back flowed and the intake fan on the bottom got flooded.... My cab was at almost 95F for 3-4 hours before I realized what exactly happened.

Long story short,
BAD WEEK, LOTS of unexpected expenses, but my lady is still loving life even with a few crispy bottom leaves. The FIM didn't take at all, I topped it again a couple days ago, both times growth hasn't slowed at all! The bottom branches just keep crawling up!
@FrozenChozen there are no pistils yet, but it is almost big enough to clone off of. I say we give it a shot, no reason not to right? I'd like to thank you formally for those purple widow seeds @provisionseeds and @FrozenChozen They will help out tons! How many Phenotypes show up? just wondering if I should pop some now and wait then do the others... Or drop them all.

I say we make an "admission fee" that consists of purchase of cups from an approved online source, with proof of purchase and cups shown for registration.

Friday update. Work is killing me. Barely even remember to post these updates. Let the girls go without water a little too long. Amazing how much difference no perlite in the cup makes.

Might need to do a support screen for these.

I was thinking along the same lines, except design a cup that looks cool and says like "7th Official PCC". Charge like $5 for the cup and any left over $$$ gets pooled as a grand prize. I bet a lot of people wouldn't go for that though and it isn't a flawless idea but this competition has evolved a lot over the years... maybe an "entry cup fee" is just the next step

A standard size large coffee cup or small soda cup say from McD's? Those are uniform and available just about everywhere.

Not sure about the proof of purchase. No need to give away location by showing a receipt from a local store. Also like standardizing the cup, but again can't be sold for only this purpose, don't need to order something that effectively screams I'm participating in a weed growing competition. Finally, we would have to ensure those cups exist in other countries or give exceptions for those who can't buy the standard cups, or limit participants by location.

I was thinking that the cup host chooses an Amazon vendor and you show the email showing the cups in the item line along with your cups. It's easy to black out the address and name. I wouldn't want to buy some cup from someone affiliated with the competition.
