8 BubbleHeads start 12/12

love the thread rose just makes me wish i had some girls in flowering i harvested 2 weeks ago just germ.2 white castle good luck to all will be following this thread
 
well here is a sog bp set up. it will start harvesting every 4 weeks starting on halloween. im not doing any finger pointing but roseman your responsible for this, lol its just all the info and the great explinations in his threds that helped me. hope you like the pics.

Never used the stuff. I'd like to know how much Cal-Mag you use as a suppliment with the SH nutes and when do you use it...just for grow or veg or do I use it for the entire grow?....thanks in advance...HGH]

Keep your water clean and you shouldn't need to clean the res the entire grow, in my opinion. Don't over-nute, keep the water temp down or use H2O2 if you can't, etc.

I disagree with that. You'll need to drain and replinish, every week for a mature grow is good. How else do you get rid of the waste (salts, etc.) that accumulate? How would you get an accurate ppm reading on a res that hasn't been properely maintained. Wouldn't your reading be skewed by the toxic buildup of salts, etc in the tank:peace:?

Yup what he said.
I never add to my res (unless its plain water) and I change every 7-10 days when I up my nutes, I always rinse off my roots and gear to make sure I remove the salts.

I dont have a TDS meter and have yet to have a problem other than shitty ass mold.

i too also only add plain phed water to topp off. i also do a res change once a week. maybe its a waste of nutes, but this is my first dwc bucket grow, and dont want to push my luck.
now, if you can go withought a res change the entire grow, more power to you. i wish i could, but have not experimented enough with my system to say i can.

I gotta do a res change every three or four days or my res starts to smell. That's what I get for using peat pellets and pea gravel.

yeah, i never used that stuff. just rockwool, and hydroton.

gosh, i top off every two days, and thats a pain.

i cant imagine doing a res change every three days. i only have 2 plants and its a chore.

I used two tablespoons per gallon, when i saw roots, just one time only, but I don't normally tell anyone or make them feel like they need to do it.

I also added 6 tablespoons total, once again, since then, after I took the pump out.

I use well water so I doubt it is necesary, but I already had it, SH gave it to me two years ago, FREE , to try it.
