then can you please go back into this thread and point out to me where it was that i STARTED an argument? as far as i can see all i did was share an opinion and ask questions. please show me the post where i STARTED an argument. i called him a jackass because he became all condescending and rude just because i choose to believe the information supplied by wikipedia that it is legal in those countries as opposed to his opinion.

can you say this his comments to me weren't condescending?

"I'm not going to argue with you anymore. I can see that you won't listen to reason (or someone who is correct for that matter) so this is futile. Have fun spreading misinformation..............oh, and welcome to the forum"

Personally I see his point. But no matter who started it, here and in the past, you just keep things going, arguing, belaboring the point. You just won't let it go

that's not the difference between legal and decriminalized. if the federal government made it a states rights issue and then allowed places like california to make the decision for themselves would you still say it was decriminalized? no. if the state says i can grow 10 plants for myself i'm pretty sure i'd be cool with those limits.

just because something has restrictions doesn't mean that it's illiegal and just decriminalized. there are limits on many things that are legal.

and yes, you are the jackass. you got all butthurt just because i disagreed with you. aren't you a moderator here? jesus, go look at your post being all condesending and rude just because i pointed out that those countries do have legal laws allowing it. i didn't talk shit to you or try and be a dick. it was you dude. i asked questions and gave my opinion on the subject. you are the one who got all pissy about it. not my fault you are wrong.
Oh, boo fucking hoo!!!!! Where did I call you any names? That would be YOU calling ME a jackass!

Ok, since you are the smart guy here, what is the difference between decriminalized and legal? I'll wait.............;-)

so then, since i started this thread and was actually asked the question by another totally different user (perfextionist) shouldn't he just leave then. i mean you mods are always saying that if you don't like someones comments then just leave. well, i started this thread and was talking to several different people about several different things. since he is supposed to be a mod shouldn't he just leave? he doesn't have to agree with me and nor i with him. please check out posts 103 an 104. i don't think that's me being argumentative. if that's the case then any 2 people who have different opinions are argumentative.

this is copied straight from wikipedia link that i gave. yet he continued to want to argue that i was wrong. he's trying to argue the laws of countries he couldn't find with a globe.

Legal for personal use in small amounts and for consumption in private locations. Public consumption is generally accepted among young adults. Consumption for medical purposes is accepted but not legislated (only in private locations). Cultivating, selling and transporting large amounts is illegal and punishable by present laws.[SUP][2]

[/SUP]
so why is it my responsibility to leave my own thread when he is clearly just arguing to argue? there are countries where it is legal and the difference between decriminalization and legal is not whether something has restrictions.

raises hand:

Decriminalization or Decriminalisation is the abolition of criminal penalties in relation to certain acts, perhaps retroactively, though perhaps regulated permits or fines might still apply (for contrast, see: Legalization).

Legalization is the process of removing a legal prohibition against something which is currently not legal.
Legalization should be contrasted with decriminalization, which removes criminal charges from an action, but leaves intact associated laws and regulations.

i'd rather just not have a conversation with you anymore. in my opinion you clearly just want to start trouble and argue over the internet about something you have no idea about. totally pointless in my opinion. feel free to post whatever you want but just leave me out of it. you've already proven to me you aren't the type of person i wanna spend my time chatting with.

Decriminalization basically means that the criminal penalties have been removed, but the laws and regulations are still in place. Legalization means the laws against something have been removed. The reality is there are very few things that are totally legal. I don't like people spreading misinformation. Your comment implied that it was TOTALLY LEGAL in some parts of the world. That is not the case. Semantics aside, I simply don't want some poor, ignorant noob to think if he moves to Italy or Canada he can grow all the weed he wants! lol! Would it be fair to say this is NOT the case?

bot on that wikipedia page it made a clear distinction between legalized, decriminalized, and tolerated. listed as LEGAL in several countries for either possession of certain amounts and/or cultivation of certain amounts.
you're just not getting it, but that's your right.

i got what i wanted, which was a positive ID on a sock puppet and some internet drama on this rainy, choreless monday.

lmfao!!!!!! Uh oh!!!! Somebody else has some sand in their vag! So put me on ignore. You may not be able to grow 100% legally, but you still have the right to ignore me. If you don't want to have discussions with me then I suggest you use that right.;-)

you are 100% correct on this matter. all i am saying though is that i don't think most of us really believe or are even trying to go and grow 3000 plants on a farm somewhere. if it becomes legal in the U.S. there are still going to be restrictions on the amounts and the age at which you can use them. cigarettes are legal in the U.S. i can legally go and buy a pack whenever i want. the u.s. government taxes them. so what you are saying is that cigarettes are just decriminalized but the laws are still in place. if the laws are still in place then how does the government tax and item recognized as illegal?

i also copied a post from wikipedia and i am speaking from experience. in argentina it is legal (no laws against it, can't be fined or detained) to possess small amounts for personal use as well as grow a certain number of plants in your home for personal use. to me that is LEGAL. if that were the case in the u.s. then there would be no need for commercial growers and there would be a hydro store on every corner. no one would need more than 2-4 plants. after a while everyone that smoked would have a few plants going. isn't that what we are ALL hoping for.

if i could only have one can of lima beans, 3 lima bean plants, and no chance to buy lima beans at the farmer's market, i wouldn't call that legal at all.

that's not what i want at all.

i want it legalized, taxed, and regulated, like lima beans or any other crop (save the crops that are subsidized).

i want the government tax man so far up my ass that he's coming out my mouth. it won't bother me one bit as long as i am no longer labeled a criminal for my peaceful, non-violent, mutually beneficial actions.

i think we all can agree that lima beens don't get people high or alter mental or physical states. if they totally legalize marijuana don't you think they are going to place restrictions on the age with whcih you can use them and restrictions against driving while high. i think you are twisting around the logic to make a mute point.

i think as soon as it does become legal you are going to see taxes on the production and sale of it. in california if you are a caregiver or dispensery aren't you required to pay state and local taxes?
