A test in progress.... Miracle Grow soil vs. Fox Farms soil. Is MG really that bad?

you can buy raw fish in any city last I heard. are you even a man? im 22 and know how to ask the butcher at staters for raw cow bones for my dog. cmon man. MG cant compare to a PROFESSIONAL blend. and CFL cant compare to some 1k watt HPS. I have a good clue on how to grow. any pics of your current? IMAG0083.jpg and my knowledge starts at nothing less than Hydro so sorry I dunno how to compare bs

I chose CFL because I didn't have a good way of dealing with excess heat of HPS/MH. I use MG because I don't want to constantly fuck with nutes, it's easy to find, and the grow results are fantastic.

As far as CFL not comparing to 1000w HPS, I'd bet you if you were doing a Stealth PC grow you'd have some problems with that 1000w HPS. How can you be so ignorant as to say one solution is the best for all?

You haven't considered that MG is the top selling commercial soil and is available EVERYWHERE. For me, it wasn't a matter of money as you claim, no one in my area carries Fox Farm soils and the only hydro shop is downtown, many miles away. It is a matter of convenience. And my Miracle grow yileds have been just as good as FF yields, yet MG costs about half as much.

You also haven't considered that people that use CFL usually have small grow boxes for stealth reasons and they would otherwise love to have an hid system. There are many reasons for why people do things.... You just have to take those into consideration too.

Now, you are in a MG vs FF thread, and we have seen MG win. Please feel free to discuss the topic on hand. We could care less about steer manure and fish guts, we are comparing bagged soils....

I personally don't think it relies on what is convenient when growing marijuana. Its like.. you get what you give.. You can grow MJ with 0 Nutes in MG soil only. but your Product will sing its sad song. I dont knock any1 for growing..I Just get mad when the half crazy bum down the street tries to compare his worn Nike SB Dunks to my Fresh Air Force 1s ^^ use what you got. but anyone old enough to grow Marijuana is old enough to get to where they need to go.. (ie. the store to do shyt right)

Jesus people....Whine whine whine. We grow in p'lite, hydro, dirt, mg, hydroton, topsy turvy, aerogardens just to name a few - CFL, HPS, Flouros, MH ect... Indoor, Outdoor, stream, greenhouse ... and someone, always a self proclaimed "expert" seems to have all the 411 and shoots it down. Proof is in the pudding and my only advise is to ALWAYS PROVE what your saying with 1st hand pics of your operation. Just as when I grew in 100% perlite years ago all the skeptics were shut down cuz i posted progress pics every week. A lot wanted to give me their advice and negative comments but the results shut them down. I also did a MG/FFOF comparison grow and both had their plus's and minus's. Its all in the grow and exp of the grower. I've also used different lights and they all work, just not all the same.
I know what works for me and thats what i stick with. No different that the brand of beer one drinks.

When are you going to realize that people think differently than you do? You just don't get it do you? Many of us are convinced by this thread and through our own experience that Miracle Grow IS THE BEST bagged soil available. It isn't about money, or being lazy and not chasing FF down across town..... We use MG BECAUSE WE WANT TO.....

Does that help Rawbud? You are free to bring manure and fish guts into your home. I have used MG because it was the best for me, and it worked exceptionally well. I've moved on to hydro, but I'm about fed up with MG bashers such as yourself that will not just accept that people love MG.... You should accept that and just move along...

As you. PPL who love MG just havnt moved onto something better. Which their are many, not hating on MG. :) I Just KNOW that this thread says FF vs MG and I know on a Micro Nute Level FF is > MG (not like we dont add to our soil anyway + how many MG growers are using FF nutes in their solution?) and in two weeks ima attempt to prove it after my harvest. MG can be used by More ppl all day. doesnt make it better, just proves its cheap and at your local store. Im not trying to Grow Roses and Tulips.

Im strictly coming from some1 who is approaching growing as I am " a newb " I Highly doubt any Commercial grower who supplies a clinic PROFESSIONALLY is USING MG.. I doubt that 1million times. So any1 using mg and it works.. PROPS. I hope it works as long as they need, but for some1 like me who doesnt plan to stop.. THEIR IS ONLY PROGRESS.

I'm done going back and forth with you. You can continue to spend your bucks on soils, I'll spend mine on nutrients. You are not going to convince me that you are right, and I'm not even entertaining the idea I can convince you, so let's drop it and let the thread get back on track, MG vs FF. I'd like to see you do a side by side grow, MG and your manure and fish mix. You may want to compost your mix for a few months first though before using it as a soil amendment.

Have a great day. I'm off to Walmart for a bag of MG Organics Choice and perlite.

you can use MG for 10 years but on the 11th if you get an extra paycheck or raise I hope you ADD a little extra HMMPH to your grow.

Ima shut you down real fast... Regular Soil is less than MG. THE NUTES is what COSTS. if your saying Miricle Grow NUTES compare with FF CANNA and others your funny. 99cents for ORGANIC SOIL.. ITS ALL ABOUT THE NUTES YOU PUT IN IT. Which makes the custom blend. You make 0 sense. youll spend your money on NUTES yet you use MG. your budget is a Double Digit.

Anyone who can AFFORD REAL NUTES for their SOLUTION can AFFORD ANY SOIL. MG isnt the SOIL TO USE IF YOU CAN AFFORD REAL NUTES. Read what you wrote. your Defending the youngins with a budget dont brag how you spend on NUTEs man. thats my position.

You are not shutting anyone down... You are just making your argument look even sillier. I'm not comparing MG to anything. Is reading comprehension out of your grasp? I'm simply stating my like for MG and why. I've also pointed out that this thread is about MG vs FF, please take your MG bashing elsewhere. If you want to extoll the many benefits of a custom soil, please go start your own thread. You have truly missed your calling, saving all of us poor sinful MG users....

You misread what i said. You are also adding stuff to what i said. Your point is incorrect, more money does not equal a better product. That line of thinking is silly. There are plenty of people who spend next to nothing on their grows and they get great results. They do so by using known genetics, experience, and basic nutrients. The plant could care less what your nutrients cost, as long as it can use them.

This is my last post in response to you, as you have nothing substantial or new to add to the dialogue. Please feel free to respond and get the last word in....

I dont care how great a home made setup produces $$$$ = Quality in the PROFESSIONAL WORLD of BUD MAN. im not talking your pothead who smokes everything from seeds to stress.. CLINIC GRADE MARIJUANA, cant be WING'd maybe at *your clinic but I live in Southern California and we take Bud Seriously, and MONEY does = Quality My Man if it diddnt we would all Use CFLs.
