is it really believed that any sort of nutrient would really boost any crops yield more then a few percent? i get the feeling the more i read this website that if i only had the perfect nutrient formula i could get 3 pounds a light with out even turning them on. IMO nutruients are a very small % of the over all formula. yes they help but at the end of the day the most u can boost a yield is 10-15% max and thats with the perfect mix start to finish.

Its not about "boosting" Its about healthy plants and providing them with different compositions of nutrients during different times of growth.
Its not Just the nutes that are in them, but the form of raw nutrients that are used make a difference in nute uptake and nute availability for your plants durign different times in your plants life.
BB then OD has a wonderful composition that is Specifically designed for Packing on buds with Big Bud, then getting them rock hard and producing lots of resin with the Over Drive.
I dont recomend unsing AN full line up to anyone. But Big Bud and Over drive with the base nutes are Great and anyone who uses them will tell you they work. And they are not that expensive at all. The only expensive AN products are the Pirhanna, Voodoo and that BS crap thats all marketing.

the healthiest my plants ever look is when i just use water and maybee a dash of superthrive. if and decent soil is used then it has most every thing in it for the first few months. nutrients if used right give a little boost but many people think more is better, and its not. i payed 120 bucks for a gallon of OD today, if thats not expensive then you have much deeper pockets then i, its the most expensive thing i use.Its not about "boosting" Its about healthy plants and providing them with different compositions of nutrients during different times of growth.

i feel im coming off as a nag. i help many people as far as we bounce ideas off each other to make things right. and with any one i deal with that has thier shit together before i ever ask what food they give i wana know thier highs/lows, when are their humidity spikes, what are thier ventilation timers at, whats the ph and tds before and after feeding, when was the last time they burned sulfer, and about 30 more questions. any one of these is far more important then what food they use. i feel that food is the very last thing you need to adjust unless you are over doing it. so with that said thier seems to be so much pushing as to what food to use when any basic complete nutrient is as good as the next.
i am very good friends with 3-4 grow shop owners and basically they just laugh at people when they come in and buy 1000s of dollers on food but cant answer a simple question about thier enviroment. these owners all feel that people like to buy shiny stuff or neat looking labels. a side note about AN, none of them will recomend them for the fact that they dont say what it is in thier product. all of them either use GH, botanicare, or fox farm.

not only hydro but in mendocino so i wouldnt put it past them to have thier scripts up. the 2 shop owners i know in washington do as well but they would die before telling any one, as any one should in a state like that

Well first off a lot of people dont use organic soils. Personally I use Promix HP Because it has absolutely Zero Nutes in it. All the nutes my plants get they get when I feed them, it gives me much more control over what I feed my plants.
Where did you buy your OD from? 120 for a gallon is expensive. I pay about $20/L
I dont think more is better, I dont know many people that do. Its not about "more" its more about the quality of products that you are feeding your plants when you do.
I swear by using Big Bud then OD and I wouldnt grow without it. I know a lot of other growers who are the same way. You cant really find any other products that are as good as Big bud and OD without spending a Ton of money on ridiculous products.
If you can ever find anything that has the same chemical composition as Big bud or OD for cheaper then Let me know because I would be happy to use it, but untill then its BB then OD all the way.

The guys at my local hydro shop do. The guys are strait up Hells Angels. Its pretty funny. Really nice guys tho. I had a feeling they were affiliated with some major gang, then one day when he took me in the back of the shop to look at some used gear I saw his $100k bike with an HA jacket just sitting on it.
And the pot brownies that Customers are always bringing in is kind of obvious...ahahaha.. I always leave my local hydro shop happy and with a chronic brownie.

as far as the OD or big bud what is the chemical composition ? i have read a lot of info about OD trying to figure out what it actually is. from what ive gathered its one of the plant hormones but not sure what one. any info on any of AV nutrients would be nice. if they where designed to grow weed then i would love to read what makes them better then any other product. this is actually me being sort of lazy since i have not mailed it in to a water treatment company for testing, but i dont feel i should have to do that to know what im buying.
cause at the end of the day how hard is it to get a weed to grow when you are giving it so much attention. my garage cought on fire once, high/low was 142 and i had some plants servive.
i love to talk about weed so please bring any info you got that can be factual or atleast "i have did it this way and"

when u start using overdrive do u stop using ur other nutes..im using the flora micro and bloom so should i use those still or stop? i also was using big buds but im already in week 6 of flower

My uncles not HA but an 'associate' that works for them contracting for 'houses'. I have to say. God Damn those HA guys keep it clean. Cops in BC dont even bother messing with them, they just leave them alone, its kinda funny. Even if they do bust a house, its a bunch of workers hired by an associate. No HA members ever get caught.

Exactly. Plants need a lot of different things to reach their full potential. You have to have all the elements together or you fall short. The fact is that improving the nutrition available to a plant gives it a better opportunity to greatness.

What would work the best with the FoxFarm Nutrient Schedule for Soil? I am in week 2 of flowering and when would i start using it? I want something that will increase girth, weight?

If your using FF just use the Full FF lineup, Its good stuff. I wouldnt bother mixing FF with AN.

I like Big Bud better than FF additives, but I don't have any experience using Big Bud with the rest of the FF stuff so I can't say for sure how well they interact.
But Big Bud makes a huge difference for me so I would think it should do really well for you too.

No continue to use your 3 part base. Overdrive is an extra. You can start using in week 6 thats about when I start

Either:
A. SmokeMedProp is sequestered on a couch taking hit after hit of various harvest samples and is preparing his final findings.
or
B. The weed's so damn good that he's forgot all about his original quest in the name of science.
Props for a killer grow! I'm only on day 14 of 12/12 and the anticipation is already building and driving me bonkers. I'm using PureBlendPro lineup with BB and OD that are some extra nutes a buddy gave me. I used to use AN for several years but the store that sold it local has shut down and the nearest supply is about 300 miles away and I don't want to do lots of mail order for stealth reasons... This is the first grow I've been able to do in 4 years... 4 years of overpriced green and nasty brown... So far so good. I guess it's a bit like riding a bike... you get a bit rusty but you never lose your chops.
Eagerly awaiting the taste test and final appearance/density verdict... I think if I ever bought any Bloombastic I'd have to do it online cuz I'd be too embarrassed to shell that much out in my local hydro store for a 375ml bottle!
