AeroGarden Guide/FAQ v 2.0

guys ive got a newbee question. im on week 2 follwed the guide here is a list of what i've followed so far using ag 200 pro, with Jack Herrer seeds
started on the 23rd
ag light at the first setting
4x26w cfls,
ph 6.0
filtered water
2morrow i;m changing the h2o with room temp h2o, ph 6.0, 1 small nute tab disolved in h2o
the room temp is 75 degrees all the time, plants temp in ag is 80 degrees
one small fan at the low setting blowing them(haha i said blowing them)
my prob is some of the plants first leaves are turning a little dry

Thanks sicc, i'm gonna try that, like i said ill pos some pics at some point for a better visual, i'm gonna lower the ph a little more to see wasup
 
i think it has a super grow option, which everything is on 24/7, you can do that for a a week or two, then switch to salad greens, but remember, you need a timer and figure 8 cord, so you can control the lights
 
yea i get the light cycle thing. i have a pro200 and it doesnt say super grow as an option. salad greens should work for the watering schedule though?
 
I am using the aerogarden, along with the aerogarden nutes. I put 2 in Week 2 and my plants are starting to get brown spots, the tips of leaves are dying and now the lower leaves are dying. The top leaves are spotting yellow and brown. They stopped growning basically. My roots look fine, maybe a little brown and I just cleaned the water and filled it with Poland Spring. Why are they dying? But funny thing is my youngest plant is fine So i didnt think the bigger ones were overfertilized.

Too much nutes man, 2 tabs is alot, i would flush the rez, and let them sit with frosh pH'd water for a couple days, then start off with 1/4 a tab, and work your way up

Yea man thats what you need, keep the pumps on 24/7, and use the fig 8 cord and a timer to control your lights

Yea im not sure the light hours, but salad greens should be fine, its alot eaiser with the timer, so you have total control

So how come my small plants arent effected? I flushed the nutes but only let it sit for 24hrs...I have to be more patient..Thanks guys
 
well if you didnt fully dissolve the tabs, the chunks probably got tangled in there roots and burned them
 
I have two questions!!

 24 Hour Light Timer - the aerogarden has a timer of 17 hours how do i change that???

Figure 8 Power Cord - why do i need this when a power cord came with the aerogarden?
 
figure 8 cord is for the lights, so you can control them, since all the light schedules are different for each setting, plus you want the correct vegging cycles 18/6 or 24/0 or 19/5 whatever you want
 
Update on my grow, got 1 150 watt hps light, 2 aerogarden hoods for underneath plants, and 3 23 watt cfls, was wondering if anyone might be able to tell me how much I can possibly yield, by the site of things. Thanks a bunch.

you should be able to get at least an ounce man, it is only one plant, so she has all the light to her self, a lil stretch but at this point kinda hard to estimate yield, gie her some time to fomr buds when it will be easier to tell
 
I went to radio shack and found the Figure 8 Power Cord. but there was different ones. I dont know which one i need or do all of them work with the aerogarden. one of them had something like 600 watts and another had 1380 watts. Can someone please tell me which one i will need? thanks a bunch.
