I have tried to apply.. but not able to reach them..
 
The portion that first rolled out that said pre existing conditions can no longer be denied insurance and that caps being put on your healthcare costs is no longer viable for insurance companies has already had a direct positive impact on my family. Our insurance while a little costly, is fantastic. Once more kinks get worked out I'll shop a little on my states exchange. First adopters of anything always find the issues first. Anyone stating that it will ruin America is ignorant, there are far more things that will ruin this country other than the ACA, like our own corporate greed and that we have already allowed our capitalism consume our democracy. If you don't think we can afford it, ask me how and I'll tell you how it can be funded.

Why not make American companies be patriotic? It seems unamerican to hide gross amounts of profits in offshore tax shelters. Google, Apple, they all do it. Cut some of the subsidies GE gets. Reform the benefit system by cracking down further on fraud. Any corner store can tell you about the fraud that is enabled, isn't it just as american for them to work the system like big corporations? I'm sure most bartenders know all about the MASSIVE amount of rural fraud that goes on. Talk to them to somehow. Cut wasteful spending like the f-22 and f-33 money sucks of the military. Get the trade deficit in check. Let's try all that stuff before we raise anymore taxes. Let's try term limits and referendums. Our capitalism has consumed our democracy.

Why don't we make YOU be more patriotic? It seems un-American for you to be demanding some one else to finance YOUR pipe dreams. Get the trade deficit in check? How would you do that? Do you even know what the trade deficit is? But its good to know you get your financial information from bartenders.

I don't expect anything I just typed to be instituted because it makes sense. I'm not talking about getting financial info from bartenders, I'm talking about from an investigation standpoint on who you talk to on the ground level that knows who the frauds are. The only pipe dream I have is that equality becomes closer to reality rather than a two class system. As far as my patriotism part of that is the volunteer work I do. Another part is the flags on the headstones I put on for the vets that weren't members of the VFW and no one puts flags on their graves. American companies don't need to pay higher taxes, they just need to pay their taxes. What's wrong with that? Articulate it for me without the venom. And yes our trade deficit with China is fucked. 315 billion in their favor in one year is a bit excessive don't you think? Or is that a wrong number? Please articulate where I am wrong and I will proclaim it. The ball is in your court my angry friend.

the only report we have in the politics section came from "nitro harley", a member who is very right wing and calls obama a "lying POS" any chance he can, as if he were surprised that politicians lie.

his premium went from $580 a month down to $493 under obamacare, a savings of $1044 a year. his wife is on medicaid.

did i mention that he fucking hates government still?

Yeah, we need more bartenders making decisions regarding national policy. That would be almost as stupid as the gang of ass-clowns we get to witness at the helm every day.

I'm not angry. I'm just yanking your chain. You make far too many assumptions on far too little, and suspect, information. "Investigating" and bartenders just don't mix. We don't have a two class system. We don't have a class system at all. You still haven't explained just what there is to do about the trade deficit. You want protectionism? That sword cuts both ways. American companies do pay their taxes. They pay taxes on the money they make overseas, too. But they pay those taxes in those countries. If they bring the money to the USA, they pay taxes again. And that's why they don't until they need to. Corporate taxes are really just sales taxes. Any tax a corporations pays is just included in the price of the goods they sell. "Articulate it for me without the venom." Really? Your whole post wasn't just venom about how no one should be permitted to have more than someone else and we should just take what we want?

Once again re read what I typed. I never said bartenders should make decisions. What I'm talking about is investigating fraud. There used to be a bartender in my city who could get you info on just about anyone you asked. That's all my line of thinking is. Don't take it personal, maybe it's a bad idea. I'm not a policy maker, I'm just a guy with a keyboard and an opinion.

As far as red goes if you don't believe corporations are hiding money I would love to sell you a bridge in brooklyn. Tell me again why GE made billions in profits in 2010 but didn't pay any taxes on it? Why is that fair to you or I or a medium sized business owner or a small business owner? Tariffs is one way to try and level out some of that playing field on trade deficit. Now make an assumption that I don't know what a tariff is.
 
red thinks a lot of stupid things, and if you dare confront him about them, he will put you on ignore so that he does not have to be faced with his very own contradictions.
