Im deliberating buying a 1000w canatronics jet stream setup.
which can be found here
Canatronics Jet Stream Air cooled Indoor Grow Lights
Instead of just pulling hot air away from the lamp these have the advantage of drawing air from outside the grow room and shooting it past the bulb (should give more effective cooling)
In order to save on the hassle of drawing air from outside the house i thought one might be able to construct a large fairly air tight box (must have a few vents ) and place a portable air conditioner inside it. (maybe even two )
(they can be found here) Portable Air Conditioners | Portable Air Conditioner
the air must now be ducted out of this "cool box"
With the air conditioner running during the light cycle and the air being ducted out of the "cool box" straight over the lamps i think this would provide much more effective cooling. Also it would be a lot more discreet since the air exiting the cool tubes would be relatively cooler (no hot plumes of air to be seen by their thermal detectors).
I really am no expert. maybe the logistics just dont work but i got a feeling it might work. maybe someone could elaborate and improve it
what do you think?
peace and thanks
