Wondering if I am doing something wrong or the pump needs to be bigger.
I am used to making my teas with the normal air stones and letting it bubble... I figured I'd step up a notch to the air lift...
I'm using a 45 LPM pump and 1.25 pvc P-trap. I ran three hoses down into the bottom of the tube about 1 inch from the bottom. It lifts the water to about the bend in the p trap then just bubbles, very big bubbles. So the only thing coming out of the p trap is just a tiny bit of water and a ton of air. I'm only brewing 1 gallon at a time so I really can't imagine this pump not being strong enough.
Is a lot of fluid supposed to come out of the trap or is this correct?
I just don't see how this is better than air stones..
it looks like I'm going back to the air stone.
