I took the heater out but am wrapping the room in insulation. the 1000w is working as a nice source of heat as the moment without being overwhelming.

good to hear..i want a 1000 but for 18/6 it will add 100 dollars a month to my electricity bill thats to much for me..ill stick with a 600 or a 400 but soon when money is rolling in ill upgrade to a 1000 or 2 600s

Bought 6 rolls of insulation from the hd, planning on slapping old man winter in the face with this one and make him work for me.

Very nice setup, how many plants total are you planning for?
I've been doing some experiments with my seedlings and so far the fastest lighting i have encountered is a full spectrum 26w CFL 1" off. I can typically cover 3-6 seedlings with one bulb and 10" reflector.

The 2nd pic is 3days old, 3rd pick is exactly one week from seed.

I guess I'm official now lol

-I also added an old mirror I had laying out in the shop in there for extra reflection. Temps sitting at 70 degrees. Its about 50 outside.

I've heard mirrors are NOT a good idea at all, man. I heard it concentrates the light onto one exact point making it extremely hot burning your plants. I'd take that out of there.

I could be wrong about that, but that's just what I have read everywhere. It concentrates light on a spot increasing heat toward plant. If you think about it, it does make sense too. I would say maybe put some emergency blankets up. I'm pretty sure you know what those are, if not just ask. :D

Ya. Places like walmart, or outdoor sports stores that have fishing, hunting, etc should have them to. I think its about a buck a blanket. Idk, because I just have them laying around my house from races i've done, but I think its under $1. Haha

I havent, but if you can and have enough money just go for mylar. I'm assuming its better quality, but I would just go with emergency blankets.

get that or panda film..i got panda film partitioning a frame does the job prettygood.it also reflects light as well as mylar and would keep temps warm when lights are off.
