Say Dawg, been watching your grows for some time...I switch to LED's in the summer months but use some older technology with 1w LED's (ProSource 180W Jumbo's). Although they work well I can't help but want to switch to a newer Cree system such as the SGS-160's. Can you tell me from your experience how serious is the 17"-20" height above canopy? I'm a tent dweller and although I have a 78" high tent I worry about those occasional strains that challenge the height constraints. Even though my systems have long hangar wires on them, plants can produce right up next to the glass cover. I do FIM once in my 30day veg cycle but tend to try as many strains as possible and sometimes get some stretchers. I'm not patient enough for SCROG's. Thx man, keep up the sweet threads!

Welcome Brother jela10.I Would Say That The SGS 160 Would Be A Perfect Fit In Your Tent.You Can Adjust Your Veg Time To Keep Those Unruly Sativa's Under Control.I Used A 20/4 Light Schedule For The First 4 Weeks @ 18 Inches Above My Canopy Then I Switched To A 16/8 For The Last 3 Weeks Of Veg And Im Very Impressed On How Well Controlled The Stretch Has Been.Before This Grow I Had Only Run This Strain In My Cab 65 Inches Tall To Which I Would Flip To Flower When They Got 10 Inches Tall Which Was Usely Around The 3rd Week Of Veg And This Strain Would Stretch About 3 Times Her Veg height Filling Up My Screen.So You See The 7 Week Veg was Really Under Control Under These SGS'S And Not Doing A Massive Flower Stretch Either.

Good Morning Sweet Pea.Thank's For The Kudo's And Dawgie Dawg Treats.That Contraption Your Talking About Is An Apogee MQ-200 Quatum Flux Meter.It Measures The Photosynthetic Photon Flux(PPF) And Gives The Reading In Micromoles.Basicly It Mesures the Amount Of Enegry Carried By The Photon.I Find This Piece Of Equipment Very Helpful When Setting Up My Lights And Maintaing Proper Light Heights.The Readings Your Seeing Are As Following The 760ish Reading Are In The Center Of Each Plant With The 550ish Readings Are To the Left And Right Center Of Both Plants With The 260ish Reading Being At The Farthest Left And Right Of My Tent.
I'd Recommend For You To Start The Seedling Off With 2- 23w 4000-5000k CFL With A 10" Automotive Reflector.You Can Get This At Walmart For Real Cheap And Let The Seedling Get As Wide As The Reflector Before Switching To The LED.
Then Start The LED With 2 Switches On, 2 Switches Off (So The Middle Banks Of LED's Are Off) And Start The Light At 36" Above The Plant And Maintain It There Until It's Flowering Time Unless The Plant Seems Stressed Then Raise It Up Some.
In A 4X4 Tent You Should Allow The Plant To Be About 39" Wide And Deep Before Flowering.
In Flowering, You Should Use 3-4 switches On, If You Leave 1 Switch Off, It Should Be The Center Most Bank. Height In Flowering Should Start At 36" And Let It Grow As Close As 30".This Sould Get Ya Started Peace And Hair Grease

Im going to start taking notes. you got like a Dawgie Style LEd grow guide ? that would be totally bitchin. remember scotty balls grow guide, of course you do ...., that grow guide was sooo poplular and helpful to so many growers llike myself..it was simply and easy for me to understand.. He became godlike with that man.I put my trackin number in to find where my light is in transit, but didn't get any transit info just that they places it in the system on the 24th. Everyday now when I check my mail im like shakin in anticipation. I CANT WAIT!! have a wicked keowl weekend, stay chill.
