one way to play with taste is to pick them in the middle of the night up until lights on , and if your not used to doing it that way it will be different for sure. it always dries faster and taste like the species an not the food.
its just something to play with ..... i read it in high times years ago and have noticed a big difference when doing it. (sometimes better , sometimes worse) something about the food going back into the roots at night then comin back out in the day. they also said something about picking in the middle of a sunny hot day can cause it to almost be flame retardant, and even taste like sulfer and at the time it really caught my attention because of all the mids going around that was flame retardant and tasted like sulfer or matches.
