Almost ready?

I have electric hedge trimmers! Should do the trick, I actually didn’t put any thought into how much of a bitch cutting my first one might be lol. Still learning, definitely doesn’t look like I’ll have as much trouble as you guys

Personally I would cut it down in one piece but others may do diff

I’m planning on one solid chop initially, then better hanging branches, going to be using clothes hangers.
I was just envisioning in my head you using an electric hedge trimmers to cut it down and personally want to see a video of it

Here we go again! How much longer you pros think for these?

Oof. Was hoping to chop before holiday vacation and not have to worry about watering. Life is ruined, until these are cured at least :p

Just saw a post where people were talking about harvesting by bract calyx? I’m trying to go off trichs but I have a super hard time holding microscope steady lol.

Don't worry about trichomes so much. New growers often harvest early based on reading them wrong.

Refer to post #9. The pistils should be all brown/orange and retracted towards swollen calyx.
Yes, sadly I took some bad advice on my first grow, from a much more experienced grower and chopped early. Sorely disappointed. Not looking to ever make that mistake again.

It was so bad. Plenty of trichs on the early plant, so sure you get high, but there was absolutely nothing good about it, or any desire for more lol. It just got turned into butter. RIP. This one should be a real treat knowing when to harvest. Hopefully the hairs really stick out later on.

Man I'm just more confused on harvest times now. Seems lots of people just go by leaves and pistols but I thought the only sure way was trichs. Grrrr!

I know right! Some posts on google say some white is fine, some growers say some white hairs are inevitable, so many people saying go bu trichs, invest in loupe/microscope, but obviously in that picture on post 9, there’s no white at all. I am also seeing people say harvest when the bract calyx hairs are brown.

Oh and breelow, I was introduced to Boston terriers via my wife. Now I'm hooked on them. My wife just bought me my very own little boy so I could have my own hunting and fishing buddy. In less then a week of having him he's been on three hunting trips and already got to share in success. His name is Buck (loosely named after the one eyed weasel guy from ice age, but also being a die hard hunter). He's completely adorable and we already got our hands full.

And plenty of posts online say, 90% of the hairs orange. That really threw me for a loop. My buds weren’t anywhere near as dense as they should be before chopping when just 90% of hairs on that particular plant were orange. I realize that now watching my plants get so heavy they’re falling over lol

Aww how cute!! I just got this sweet little girl a few days ago! She is just the happiest little thing. I tried to name her Lillie, and my little boy burst out laughing and said Willie!?? Ok Willie you’re a good girl. So the poor thing is named Willie she looks like she has been drinking coffee.
