Alternatives to Fossil Fuels....?

Lol. Again, not my opinion, just a collective group of facts that lead to a conclusion... realistically. This has been proven many times over and is a well-known corporate practice. Feel free to deny the truth or believe what ever you'd like.
Pretending your opinion is "just a collective group of facts that lead to a conclusion" is just pretending speculation is the same as fact. And "This has been proven many times over and is a well-known corporate practice" is just a blatant lie.

It is fact, not my opinion. It is FACT big oil owns solar and that big corp buys patents and stunts growth... Arguing seems silly. Believe what you want. People are seriously uninformed.

I particularly think combining GeoSolar is the way to go, obviously. That's why I'm doing it.

And I don't think the tech is being manipulated today. Maybe in the 90s

Proclaiming your opinions as fact doesn't make them so.

Note the spools of 3/4" PE tubing to be set 8' deep in slinkys. Nearly a mile to be buried for the Geo system.

Lol! What a tool you be, man. What a tool...

So I'm not "a poser" anymore dude? lol

I put you on ignore. Please feel free to ignore me.

That is a big job, but in then the end, pays for itself,

BTW, are you running alcohol in the system? Vodka?

Methanol. I agree in the end it pays for itself. I had worried that the payback might be decades, but it looks like 9-10 years. After that, the savings would have paid for the equipment, and I', essentially making money (by not paying money).

I'm also not installing air conditioning since the walls are 11" thick and the design incorporates passive solar.

These are ancient patents. Irrelevant today. And China, the worlds largest manufacturing whore, makes the whatever it wants
the patents for "ancient" solar cells are free for all to use, having expired, but the new more efficient solar cells are NOT made using expired patents or obsolete technology.

you dont honestly thing the CONCEPT of photovoltaics is what was patented do you?

cuz that would be retarded.

what do you think your backyard "geothermal" system is?

its a heat exchanger using the ground's temperature (which is NOT geothermal!!) to regulate the temp in your house

if you are installing real geothermal power generators in your house then you would have to be as rich as bill gates to build it, and you would lose your shirt getting the permits.

There aren't any scientific and economically viable alternatives available yet or they would be currently in use, but there are many new ways to feed the energy needs of the world that are currently being developed. Photovoltaic cells will continue to improve efficiency and cost, but that will never be enough. My money would be on nuclear fusion (not fission).

More words with little insight kynes. Just arguments for the sake of argument and of course your desire to have people thing your especially clever.

Who ever said anything about geothermal energy generation? I simply mentioned it as a sidebar to the convo. You sound like Red1966 who deleted all his posts in this thread, I see.

Did I hear that correctly? You're running methanol in your "geo-heat-pump" ?
Are you just using it to regulate house temperature?

Got any science-type goodies I could read that you used in your research (to save me the time of scribbling equations on paper)?

There's a % methanol used as anti-freeze in the geo loops. So a water / methanol mix.

The 53 degree fluid coming in from the geo field is then used inside, where it is "concentrated" to deliver whatever temp I need, from 85F in the floors to 120 for domestic hot water. Very simple, very efficient.

As a side note, the geo field methanol / water fluids never actually circulate in the house. The geo fluid runs to a heat exchanger, and the floor fluid also runs to the heat exchanger. There the geo fluids give up the energy to the floor fluids. This cools the geo fluids, and then the geo is pumped back outside for re-warming.

Just under 1 mile of this pipe with methanol / water circulating slowly.
