leaves are massive!
about to switch over to 12/12 in a few days.
after the next watering I'll be giving them the blooming mixture and they'll be off!
this is my favourite pic of the leave with my hand for perspective.

K so I've fed them their first shot of flowering food, and I'll be switching the hours maybe tomorrow or the next day.
I want them to be using/storing the flowering nutes before the lights change instead of having them go without,
which I think may stress them. did that make sense?...yeah I think it did.

K so they've had their first 12 hours of darkness and today is the first day of budding.
they're looking really green, and nothing has gone wrong so far.

Two weeks later and the plants are rockin!
they are just starting to push out their first bunch of hairs, and I've given them a teaspoon of molasses with their Grow, micro, bloom and big bud. Im on week two of their blooming schedule, making my ppm around 1200
I've been balancing the PH with technaflora Ph up and Ph down to 6.5

Third week of budding, the plants in smaller buckets are showing signs of N deficiency as well as the largest plant.
got some close ups today to show the pistils and little trichomes.
they are getting a little smelly! :leaf:

Cool! my name thing changed! I am now a pot head according to RIU.
finally some recognition.:weed:

anyway, I noticed that the plants had too many branches below the top of the buckets, and the leaves on these branches were all turning yellow and falling off.
So i hacked one branch off each plant and probably will hack another one week from now or so.
I don't want the plants to be too stressed, so thats why I'm waiting a week before cutting again.

Also the plants are starting to get that sugary, dank smell to them that I love.
I can tell the molasses and big bud are doing their thing. :-P:leaf:

a lot of the trichomes are standing on end now, they are clear, but they seem to have sprouted up in the last week.
I've trimmed all of the lower branches off of the first two nodes. I've measured the runoff and the ph is extremely low.
I've flushed with plain tap water, (ph 6.5-7.0) to start bringing the ph up. next watering the ph will be raised higher to level everything out.
I pinched one of the top colas to feel how big it is, and they are like rock buds! seriously dense!

also the reason I took so many branches off was I noticed pollen sacs emerging, and they were working their way down the plant.
So instead of watching the nodes and plucking them off as they showed, I took the entire branch. knock out the source of the pollen.

A few hairs are drying out already, seems to be from the pollen sacs that blew early.
I pinched as many of as possible, but I know i missed one or two.
the tops of the plants are getting tighter and tighter, and the smell is filling the basement! wish I had a filter for that,
anyway the plants are getting over their PH lockout and are showing more green re-emerging out of the yellow.
today I gave them some more molasses and Ph'd the water to above 7.5
runoff should be getting close to 6

the plants are out of their ph lockout.
there's about 30% cloudy trichomes and the plants have so much weight, they are leaning towards the light.
So I anchored the base of the plant to the buckets leaving the plant upright. :leaf:
There is so much smell I'm kinda getting sketchy about keeping them going till dec.
mostly because when I'm outside my house on the street on a wet day, I can clearly make out the smell of my plants.:wall::!:
good thing is that because I'm venting through the chimney, theres no smell close to my house. Just when it wafts toward the road it's obvious.

Thanks man I've been focusing pretty hard on the ph issue and it's really paying off!
Blueberry kush eh? I'd love to try growing that one.
the difference in trichome grouping should be intense.
look forward to checking it out.

been having some very interesting smell changes!
at first it was a very dank hash smell, and now its starting to change to a perfume like blueberry. I love it :weed:
the plants are doin alright at day 42 of budding, or week six.
trichomes are a little under 50% cloudy.
even the plants in the smaller buckets are leaning over because of the bud weight.:-P
thinking I'm gonna start flushing on sunday, maybe give a final molasses and big bud shot before then.
