Not a fan of the bible either. But there is a difference. In America if a radical christian group like the kkk gets out of hand, other christians oppose them and bring them to justice for their crimes. When Islamic extremists get out of hand, muslims do nothing to stop them.

How come these "peaceful muslims" only oppose these terrorists publicly? How come Bin Laden can live for 6 years in a muslim neighborhood and none of them turn in this mass murderer? How come Saudi religious institutions renounce terrorism publicly then hold telethons to raise money for the families of suicide bombers?

When Islamic institutions decide to actually do something to reign in terrorism then I'll buy this whole "simply want to worship peacefully" act. But right now it's all bullshit. They say one thing publicly, do another privately.

I know not all muslims are terrorists, but pretty much all people who hijack planes are muslims and the muslim community does nothing to reign in the radical element among them.

Why is all discrimination bad? Racial discrimination is wrong because you are discriminating against someone for something beyond their control. Being a muslim is a choice. Why is it wrong to discriminate against someone for a choice they make?

I still want to hear answers to the following questions:

How many people here who are against discriminating against muslims on airplanes would let a random catholic priest babysit their kids?

As much as i hate to admit it..yes...in the current world we live. Its too messed up to sit back and believe theres a peaceful solution to things. Sometime men do evil to obtain good, and most of those men are willing to die for his fellow country man no matter hat they belive in. And for a paycheck lol

what if a pothead with long hair hijacked an airplane and flew it into a building? would u feel discriminated against when u go to fly, and they dont let u on because u have long hair or look like a guy that smokes weed? and then u go through security AGAIN, only to prove AGAIN that u have nothing dangerous, and pose no threat. but still, they do not let u on

would u say "i deserve this because i smoke weed"?

I wouldn't have spent years in the military if the compensation wasn't enough to purchase a home, automobiles, and an airplane or two. The paycheck isn't the driving cause but we wouldn't do what we do (or did, in my case) if we had to be independently wealthy prior to service.

Warfare is not a philanthropic endeavor.

If potheads had a 40 year history of hijacking airplanes, I would expect them to go through extra security measures before entering an airplane.

Sure, not letting muslims on an airplane at all is going too far. But I hope they all get discriminated against during airport security, giving them all the extra testing.

Its not wrong to descriminate..if that was the case we would have no standards.

I wouldnt let a muslim or a priest watch my kids...i dont let my kids go with people i dont trust period. At the end of the day , if i cant even keep my kids safe..then its a fail. Hence discrimination is required in some cases..and im not refering to rascism or nazi KKK bs...id happily hunt them for a paycheck to. I can count on one hand how many people i trust with mine and my kids lives....3

just a thought... why not check everyone good enough to make sure nobody has anything? not just muslims. like buck said, they could easily figure out that all they need to do is find a white muslim that is willing. then if he dresses in a suit and tie, he would go right past security. VERY obvious flaw in that system

just throwing this out there as a hypothetical kind of thing, it makes sense to me but i may just be thinking dumb. anywho... what if making the passengers uncomfortable and getting thrown off the plane was part of some kind of plan these two had from the beginning? they were headed to a big gathering dedicated to "Islamophobia or fears of Islam and discrimination against American Muslims". what better of a story than to have something directly related to this happen en route to the conference?

again, this is just a thought that popped into my head and is completely hypothetical with NO factual backing WHATSOEVER.

We do that already. Why not flag people for extra checks based on them being muslim?

I'm tired of pretending this isn't a muslim problem, it is one. If an abortion clinic gets bombed, first place I'll look is fundamentalist christians. When it comes to airplane hijacking, muslims are doing it.

if those original tests arent good enough for muslims, what kind of secret pocket do they have that i dont? if the original search didnt find the muslim's bomb, how can we be sure we are checking the other people good enough? whats the need for the extra search, if the first search was good enough to find anything?
