Angryblackman's Ugly Outdoor Grow 2011

Looks like I am going to be chopping a couple of males down this weekend. It's one of the Prophets and possibly the Ancient Afghan. I was hoping those would all be female especially the afghan with only 1 of 3 seeds surviving. Oh well.. 2 less that I have to harvest right?!

Are you positive they males they already got balls? Well do this if the male look good take a clone and make some seeds with the clone this winter. Keepem green dirrtyd

No balls just yet but totally different growth than the other one. I am 95% sure they are gonna ball up. The afghan is just growing too fast to be a female even this late in the season. I have only hit it with nutes 1 time and it's grown 4-5 inches in the last 2 days.Also not seeing any signs of hairs yet. Just small lumps. Not sure about making seeds. I am getting too much grief from the wife this year so this may be my last grow for a bit. I'd love to keep the strain around but between my buddy and I we only got 4 out of 12 seeds to pop (He usually has a 95%+ germ rate) and out of them so far we have 2 males. Not sure if it was us or genetics but I don't want to invest that much time in this strain again.

Which is the reason that I started growing in the first place!

Bro, you would be suprised how putting your grow 'inside' something like a carport or greenhouse, makes the drama go away. Out of sight, out of mind!

I'd hate to see you quit, let's put a carport up!

That is a possibility but I will need to wait for $$ to do it right the first time.

Had to chop some balls last night. After feeding the ladies (and dudes apparently) I chopped one of the Prophets and dug out as much of the stalk as I could so it would give some few pot room to the female. Also see that the Ancient Afghan is developing the same bumps as the Prophet and looks like it's going to be male as well. I should be able to get some more pics up today. Hope you all are doing well and staying green!

Nope. From what I have read from Grindhouse, feminized seeds have a better possibility of going hermie. So it's up to nature on their seeds.

I'll stick to clones

ive never had a fem seed go hermie on me... and ive put fem seed plants through some stress in the past! dont get me wrong tho it is possible, just havent had it happen yet!

Could just be their experience with the breed but they are not going to be doing any feminized beans. Also just to clear the air I wasn't making that statement for fem'd seeds in general. Just what I have heard from the breeder about this particular breed.

FYI Laying low for a couple weeks. Had a very close fly over for 15-20 mins on Sat morning followed by a noticeable increase in police presence in my area with several agencies that aren't normally in my area. Normally I wouldn't take such drastic precautions however this plane was circling my home and made sure to alter it's path to get a good look at my plants. Now while I am within my limits, I don't want any attention/issues so I have gotten rid of all clones and pulled all possible male plants just to be sure. Sorry to anyone that was looking for updates. I will be on the DL until I feel comfortable again.

I am in serious need of a carport but $$ doesn't permit at the moment. I will be sweating out the remainder of this grow and re-evaluating my situation.

Are you in the county or the city? If you are within your limits just stay within them until harvest time. I have a greenhouse here in the box you can come and get. Well take a drink and fire up one cause if they wanted you they would have visited last night trust me. keepem green dirrtyd

I am in the county. I had taken clones to share with a few people so I had 12-15 going that morning and trashed them all without hesitation. Chopped the Ancient Afghan (Balls!)and Strawberry Diesel (bumps and no hairs) and made sure that I had an accurate legal count.

I wouldn't sweat it man. I get on roofs everyday all over town from rocklin down to elk grove and all points inbetween. I look in back yards all the time just to see what folks have going on. I see marijuana plants all the time. Its like 25% of backyards i look down into have plants. With strained police budgets and the court system nearly broke i don't see them coming after legal grows. I have my six plants and i believe that makes me legal as i can be.

Hello ABM-
Hoping I can ease some of your anxiety about the planes flying over you home....
Sept 09 I had 23 girls in the garden (prescription for 12) and another 4 in my seasonal creek, 27 total. I'm in the house watching T.V. when I hear a helicopter flying around outside. I go outside to check and I see a C.A.M.P. helicopter doing laps over my garden, just above the tree tops, with a guy in the sliding door pointing down to my garden....I shit my shorts then and their. Then I thought, well if they come they come, I'm protected by the law. Nothing ever happened. I had my prescription hung on the door of the weed cage, and everything fenced in. I think they saw that, and knew it was a prop 215 grow.
I'm a home/land owner, so I had a lot to lose if shit got stupid with the law, and still do! Nobody wants to fight the "man", that can get expensive.
That was 2 years ago and I've never been visited. Like someone else said, they don't have the money/resources to mess with small time grows that are covered by the Prop 215 laws, just a waste of time and money for them.
My suggestion is "cover your ass" Hang your prescription above the garden, stay within your plant limits, and if you could put a fence around the garden, that would be bonus! I'm sure they were checking on the "Megan's law dude" down the street from you because he didn't register with the police, or chasing someone on foot, and using a plane to do surveillance in the area.

Sac county doesn't use their helicopter's for plant inspection, more than likely it was a pursuit. Understand the concern but like Treeman says, prop 215 grows are at the bottom of their list.
I live in the county next to you and havn't been inspected for 2 years now, my cousin just had an inspection (same county) and he's got 24 monster plants with just 2 scripts )reccomendations) posted. Cops said they were fine with that, same with me and I've always grown 10 or less with each recomendation, legal advice to me from a 215 advocate.
