welp with all the heat down here has lead to people being indoor for a bit.....so me this weekend, spend a little time outside and a little inside with Netflix.......found a couple of things if you have it...

1st show i caught was "pacific rim: the black" and honetly it really isn't bad, graphics are pretty good surprisingly.....and they are already gonna have a new season too.....

limited episodes for the time being, but the story is good....this was Saturday....

now for sunday....i went early to do some riding mowing, got sorta done before the heat hit.....so it's me and netflix again.....and i found this....definitely got D&D over tones with the chacracters, i was thinking maybe a spin off from DragonLance.......js

Enjoy

How many of these projects are actually Japanese? It feels like they are American produced using Japanese studios. Is that right? I still like the home brewed ones better, not saying the others are bad mind you, just don't feel right to me.

you know that's a good question.....i know it the late 80's and early 90's production was primarily japanese, but with the new advent of animation software and techniques things have changed over the years...

Based on the series based on the game, but a stand alone to hold people over till season 2 is released. Entertaining film if you like the series.

Actually there is something I am more interested in knowing from the group. Do you watch them dubbed or subtitled? I really hate the dubbed versions, never think the acting is as good.
I watch dubbed shows when there are no subtitles…my preference is to listen to the original Japanese audio and read the subs: the subs are usually more informative, and the difference in voice-acting is amazing - SO MUCH NUANCE is lost with bored Americans reading scripts, the original track is so much more expressive, it’s a night-and -day difference. I’ll probably never really learn the language, but I love all that the actors put into their roles
