I tried rewatching trigun a few years ago. Hadn't seen it since cartoon network. I couldn't do it. It was one of my favorites as a kid though.

The nostalgia alone had me add that show, it was either that or Gundam Wing.
Use to love reading the manga but these days I just catch the animated shows when I can instead.

If you’ve not watched it before, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND seeing the 3.x release(s) on Prime Video, three films that actually manage to untangle it all and lay it out (mostly) linear. I watched it episodic a few times & thought it was a complete mess; after watching the whole thing pieced together, I may not understand it better, but I’m happier with having seen it.
They were free to watch not long ago….

I've had a few piss beers, tell me if I'm understanding this right. The series was edited into a 3 part movie and is more digestible?
They missed a decent opportunity to name it "cicada noises in Japan". I've fell asleep to it a few times because the sound is so...mono, but in a therapeutic way.

I’ve seen the ones at the bottom (though I bailed on AoT partway thru S4)…just never encountered the others until after my shonen circuits’d burned out

Not just the original series, but all the after-stuff, too - which I found *some* of on the web, but not in ANY order or scheme…but, yes, the movies are ALL OF IT cut into an overall narrative, and def more digestible.
Cicadas, huh? Down here, I used to hear cicadas *every summer* (apparently they’re not all on the same clock)…but even though this was supposed to the Grand Jamboree of Cicadaness this year, there have been NONE.
In fact, I don’t hear bugs AT ALL anymore: not crickets, not grasshoppers - not even tree frogs (yeah, not insects)…but it makes it weirdly, uncomfortable QUIET outside - where there used to be a serious racket made daily in the warm months.
Wish I’d had the forethought to have recorded an hour or two of twilight noises back when we had them: it’s creepy that they’re just GONE.

It’s Chinese, from Bilibili…first ep is…confusing? But interesting, I think.
Main impression: it’s animated, but only LOOKS like anime (?) - no idea what’s up, but that’s not new…

Still working on “my list”, too (Jeff & co have been *very* patient with my lack of focus)…really,the issue is simple: ”what is ‘Number 1’?”. I have to say Kaguya-Sama has taken over the top spot for me, so that shakes things up, but having a #1 helps the sorting.
