Futhermore, if they indiscriminately release the names of people "cooperating with the cartels" they could actually end up HELPING the Zetas. There are around a dozen or so prominent cartels, many have alliances with others outside their operational sphere of influence. If they release the names of people that might be trusted by the Zetas, they would not only help them, but almost absolutely guarantee the death of their colleague.

LOL Well I think the point of releasing the names is because they didn't release the colleague and are not going to. So they avenge him. Still. If he dies or not, I'd still love to see them release the info. :)

5th of november is a meme from the movie v for vendetta. Remember remember the 5th of november, its when they blew up the government building in the movie. Gutsy move, I doubt the cartel will be able to do anything at all about it.

We all realize that the best way to defeat the drug cartels is to defund them. Allowing home growing in the US would remove 60% of their funding. As the money dries up, they would implode in violent desperation. Drones and a few Seal Teams would take care of the leadership while the foot soldiers are rounded up and executed by the Mexican people who will be fueled by utter hatred and revenge.

Ultimately, as bad-ass as the Zetas are, they are no match for Americans defending their home and families. If their brutal tactics spread into the US, there will be a breaking point where it will get very ugly for hispanic gang-bangers who prey on what they think is a disarmed and distracted populace.

UPDATE: this story is so fluid. They have now recinded the cancellation. Stated reason was because of the flood of support from Mexico, they have outlines safety instructions and created a widget to send information about cartels and cartel involvement. Also a group to handle this issue exclusively. They explain everything in this post update and invluded 2 videos one in english and one in spanish....

These guys are clever and resourceful, they can make some serious waves, thats one thing I know for sure. I wouldn't want to be on their bad side.

Of course not. But millions of them are. How broad do you think the true user base is? Anybody can call themselves anonymous. That does in fact make them anonymous. So more than not, the hackers in it are script kiddies. Some of fingers on the hands are good hackers. ;)
