Its just panda film, Im sure you could get better if you used something more reflective.Good update. I wondered how fair reflective surfaces would change the numbers.

1FT for all in 4x4s and the DE HPS at 3FT just to make me smile.
Im sure this is no surprise to anyone here in the LED area.
The grow that I will be running has a bit more timber added to the fire.
Also I will have everything tested at the end to see if there is a quality difference.

At two I didnt use them, But thats because the plants are in VEG so I didnt feel the need. Now Im just going to rock them to get clones faster.reflectors at two ft.. great work !!
What is your photo based on? As in your DP?Those giant cake pans (don't know what else to call them) are perfect for reflecting! Consider polishing up the surface facing the plants and ditch the reflectors and lenses.
Also, if they are metal, you can mount the cobs directly to it and the heat sinks on the other side when passively cooling. The whole unit will eventually hit an equilibrium and isn't as impacted by differences between the materials.
I am getting good PPFD so check my signature before you throw down that much light. Im not sure on actual power draw since my Watt meter is for 110/120 not 240v so it would blow up if I tried to test it... Might use the 120 to get the actual draw.what`s the 1000w de hps pull at the plug after its been running for 8/10 hours ?
I`d be tempted to up my cobs from 800w to 1200w if you can get them 1ft away from the plants currently sounds like a great excuse to use more power
Now That's One Serious UFO BrotherHere's the new (temporary for the upcoming grow at least) literally a peice that you put under a water heater, (got it for cheap) it says a bit but it has a almost perfect 12" from each cob.
Adds shelving space too!
I'll be doing the next test some time this week. So look out for that I guess.
Thanks, its old dishware... fashionable as I could get them, I dont plan to keep them in this arrangement.. but it looks cool in pictures. Now That's One Serious UFO Brother
Hi Mega, do you (or any de guru) know if it is important for the de ballast to use hi frequency or is the lower frequency just as good? Thanks, its old dishware... fashionable as I could get them, I dont plan to keep them in this arrangement.. but it looks cool in pictures.
