So far so good
Week 7 and soon ill be in heaven. Buds are forming well, no major issues other than some vapor pressure due to lighting heights. The COB bud is more firm to the touch, but both HPSs are stacking hard, The end numbers seem like they will be close from just looking at them.
The main issue I ran into early on was the Mites, that slowed most everything and they weren't gone till early flower. Darn dogs are NOT going in the grow room anymore.
Again Im using 4000K 70CRI lights to aim for higher THC with minimal red sacrifices, I will more than likely follow the way of the CRI tests and go for a 3000K 70CRI When I add more COBs in the future.
As for the stretch, I knew it was coming but it was more than double the height, I blame myself, and Hydro the same amount. Limited stretch gains me alot more to work with for height, Not that I need it for this spectrum but still nice to have. There are over 60 tops on the LED side with the HPS/DE HPS coming in around 20-25 respectively. Now will more colas mean more weight? Or will having less large ones in a much higher quantity keep it even? Not sure, but Ill be able to fill a bathtub with all this bud, not sure why I chose that size measurement... anyways...
Over all the biggest issue I had was the bugs, wont happen again and after harvest Ill finally clean my whole room out.
After this run Im going to run my Pineapple Express plant under the DE HPS and a few clones of it under the HPS and COBs, not for a scientific grow but just to see how the lights do with overlap involved. The Mother plant is 6 Months old currently and is pretty big for sitting under a 500W HPS/ now MH light.
Ill also be popping some Dark Plasma and mixing it with a GG#4 Female, assuming I get a male that is. Assuming that VaderOG doesn't take that on, if he doesn't, Ill also be crossing Ninja Fruit with it, or maybe a 3 way cross of a crossed strain? No matter what its going to be sticky and have sick bag appeal.
