Just by definition if you are paying insurance rather than paying the doctor directly you are paying for healthcare that is marked up. Dont you see that?I HATE needing a government subsidy to afford healthcare that has been marked up! Complete bullshit.
Of course, but I'm paying for a worst case scenario protection, which holds value to me.Just by definition if you are paying insurance rather than paying the doctor directly you are paying for healthcare that is marked up. Dont you see that?
Do you go without insurance coverage? Just asking because anybody showing up as private pay is charged way more than insurance companies are. Just that a person is not saving anything by going without coverage if they have a health care crisis "to avoid the mark up". Even people with high deductibles, which I guess @Bugeye carries, pay prices according to agreements between the insurance company and the health care provider.Just by definition if you are paying insurance rather than paying the doctor directly you are paying for healthcare that is marked up. Yes and you are subsidising other sick people unless you are the sick one. The cheapest way is direct pay because you are not adding on all the costs that are not directly related to your health care. I want my doctor well paid but I dont really want to pay for all these other people.Of course, but I'm paying for a worst case scenario protection, which holds value to me.
If you offer to pay your doctor cash for a procedure you will find it is likely much less cost, not more. I have real life experience with this. They dont have to wait for 6 months for payment and submit reams of paperwork to the insurance company so it is much less costly for the doctors office.Do you go without insurance coverage? Here is a idea if you pay for the coverage an after 5 years of paying you did not use any should you get 80 percent payed back in fullDo you go without insurance coverage? How about everyone pay for their own healthcare and if you cant afford it you get taken care of by the government. It is known as Medicaid... You are welcome. Here is a idea if you pay for the coverage an after 5 years of paying you did not use any should you get 80 percent payed back in full
I doubt most people could come up with the cost of a knee replacement. If you offer to pay your doctor cash for a procedure you will find it is likely much less cost, not more. It's my guess that a wealthy person isn't as concerned about cost. I don't know about billionaires, but anybody I know who is financially secure carries insurance. It just makes financial good sense. But if you have money you don't buy healthcare insurance. It's only for the poor.
True this. It works great in some circumstances. Don't show up at ER, have a chronic illness or have an accident that puts you in the hospital with this strategy. If you offer to pay your doctor cash for a procedure you will find it is likely much less cost, not more. You do know the guidelines for medicaidHow about everyone pay for their own healthcare and if you cant afford it you get taken care of by the government. It is known as Medicaid... You are welcome.
People I know worth a million plus don't buy insurance. It's my guess that a wealthy person isn't as concerned about cost. I don't know about billionaires, but anybody I know who is financially secure carries insurance. It just makes financial good sense.

The difference is health care coverage vs treatment for a specific problem. You are talking about treatment.
Well, I propose a 2 edge sword. On the one side, everyone would be responsible for their medical costs. So nobody gets a free ride to the hospital.I doubt most people could come up with the cost of a knee replacement.
You no what if you think about it your wrong i i live a very comfortable life i am very well off and you no what ??It's my guess that a wealthy person isn't as concerned about cost. What? I went to the emergency room 4 years ago from a dog bite 52 stitches in my face, and when they asked for insurance, I didn't have any, my $8000 bill was reduced to $3500 and they let me make monthly payments. They give people who pay in cash the break and grossly overcharge insurance companies. You got it backwards dude.Do you go without insurance coverage? Insurance companies always win in the long run. They are in the system for a profit and will price coverage accordingly. What you describe is similar to getting money back from federal tax withholdings at the end of the year. Sure feels good seeing that check but it's better to get zero back rather than an interest free loan to the government that pays out at the end of the year. Here is a idea if you pay for the coverage an after 5 years of paying you did not use any should you get 80 percent payed back in full
We agree here, i think. Does your family go without any health care coverage? You no what if you think about it your wrong i i live a very comfortable life i am very well off and you no what ??
I am the tightest mofo wad you will ever meet like most well off people .
we watch out money
its the ones living the millionare dream living paycheck to paycheck that are careless fucks
They were under no obligation to reduce that bill. Do you live your life depending on charity? What? I agree. That's why I worked a job with a pension and healthcare for my wife and I. I guess our difference is compassion. And I like a society that is safe. Decent pay and healthcare goes a long way. When I was 7 one of my jobs was to feed the hogs and whack the crap out of those few hogs that tried to eat it all. Those split hickory tobacco sticks are tough. Anyway when taken to market you will make more money smacking the greedy hogs. Also it knocks down aggression from the greedy hogs. Back when weened pigs were $3.Well, I propose a 2 edge sword. On the one side, everyone would be responsible for their medical costs. So nobody gets a free ride to the hospital.
Here is how it would work. If you went to the emergency room they would take care of you, no questions asked. However, you would owe the bill. If you couldnt pay the bill then a portion of your paycheck would be taken to cover the costs. If you had no income then you would still be taken care of.
That way we are paying for all the healthcare for the people who cannot afford it but not socializing a portion of our country in the name of equal healthcare.
We always had universal healthcare, that was a lie told to us by the Democrats.
