I suppose mines weird, I've got papyrophobia. Its the fear of paper, so weird but ive had it since i can remember but ive never met anyone else with it. If I see paper my hair stands up & I get an all over feeling of anxiousness. My body feels so irritated that I have a physical reaction. If I have to touch paper it's unbearable. Really sucks trying to work, so much paper everywhere no matter what. Even the thought of it affects me. I also hate my bare feet touching the ground, started from someone I knew having a filthy floor.

It is pseudodysphagia. It can start out as fear of choking but it can progress to fear of swallowing. I'd get a consult with a speech pathologist just to be sure you're ok.
Thanks for your concern but it isn't a phobia as in "anxiety disorder". I had actual bouts of choking on and off for 3 weeks when I had Covid last year and I just really, REALLY, don't want to die like that. It's not based on something irrational or unrealistic but on what I experienced during the worst month of my life.

I guess my response was more an answer to the question "What seems like a horrible way to die" than "got any weird phobias"

Ohh man sorry to hear about the Covid choking issues. It’s totally normal ( not weird ) to not want to die choking on a dick or chicken wing or lobster roll or Nathan’s hotdog. Just be sure to items like that in public places where people are probably trained to do the hindey lick manuver and you should be okay, stay safe bro.

I get extreme anxiety about space debris and space junk hitting me and killing me. This includes everything that re-enters our atmosphere. I know this is highly unlikely but, I cannot control the anxiety I get when I am above ground in shoddy construction or outside. It's fucking terrible. Sometimes it gets me so jacked up I have to lay down on the ground right where I am. It takes 15-20 minutes for me to recover from one of these anxiety attacks. Anymore I cannot drive due to fear of passing out from being scared of getting hit by a meteor or skylab. Never in a million years did I think this could even be real and happen to me. It's awful. I gotta go do some dabs. I'm shaky now.

agripyrophobia. Had another fire nearby yesterday.
I don't really have a fear of fire as such (but it's high on my list of ways not to die) but, I specifically pick/buy all cotton/natural fiber clothes especially when traveling cause I knew folks that got caught in aircraft/vehicle fires with synthetic (non-Nomex) clothes that stuck to them. Fires suck.
(also wear boots when flying cause shit happens, tennis shoes don't cut it when SHTF)

Polyester is the worst thing to wear while welding lol. That was in day one of welding. But I was welding here and there out on the job before the school started the welding classes and I had no idea. Not that i was ever a fan of polyester :-D
