Anybody running side by side 4k rooms on a flip?

What are you using for a flipbox? etc

If I go ahead and buy 8 ballasts, what light controller will allow only 4 on at a time. I've never seen this set up.

well, the one i listed is a flip flop for two, four light areas. you plug the four ballasts and 8 hoods into the flip. the four ballasts stay on all the time. the flip flop switches between the 8 hoods/lights.

Sencha, I forgot to post this in the other thread you got. Don't forget to install a high temp shutdown switch w/delay on your light controller/s, in case of an ac failure.

If you are going to buy 8 ballasts then just get a Powerbox 1200TD with a dual trigger. That way you have 2 trigger cords on separate built in digital timers. The whole point of the FLIP is to use half the ballasts to grow twice the plants.

Hi Scooby. It's good to see you. I think I am going to buy the 8 ballasts instead of the flipbox. I like that Powerbox Scooby. Is there another option with a dual trigger.

What's your bare bulb vs. air cooled opinion? I'm stuck on picking a minisplit.

My ceilings are low at 6'9", my rooms are side by side, 12 x 15. Was planning on using Magnum XXXLs for max coverage. Cooling the hoods gets me closer to the plants.

And once you had a 1000w on a timer catch fire(timer catches fire), you wouldn't even want ONE timer like that, controlling that much continuous load. A contact relay switch is def the way to go(lighting controller) these days. Hard timers are still legit to, but no 120v trigger cord, to plug into the high temp shutdown switch, before timer :-D

Safety first!!! What light controller would you use Aero? I'll admit that I get a little flustered and confused when choosing equipment for a new op.

I use powerbox controllers. they are the best in my opinion. they make a dual trigger version in all of their models except the 4 light one.

i always go air cooled. keeps the plants cooler, lights closer, and you don't have to clean you bulbs as often.

Yes but what delays? The delay is the temperature reading on the temp shutoff thermostat. When temperature has dropped it will come back on.

The cap unit also has a delay for turning on the ballasts, in case of power outage. The lights won't try to ignite for a set time adjustable from 2-60 minutes.

Mine is currently set for 10 minutes to give the bulbs time to cool before reigniting.

Ahh outage delay. Popped an off delay timer in my controller. Delays restrike for 5 minutes from time power goes off. 5 minutes should suffice, never had it not.
