Anybody still use maxibloom these days?

i was gonna try a round with maxibloom and maybe some booster in flower so I've been reading up on it and the Lucas for mauls calls for 7 grams. He mentions clones and small plants 3.5 grams per gallon?

Well I have fresh clones in a bubble cloned now and the EC is crazy high at 3.5 grams. Its around 1.10 and over the last couple days its climbed to 1.17. Do people really use 3.5g for fresh clones. I've always got burn (thought at least) anything really over 1.2-1.4.

I have some other plants that I just flipped and I did two at 7grams per gallon and the other two 5grams per gallon. The 7grams per gallon was at a whopping 2.0 EC.

please chime in if you have or currently are using maxibloom.

Also does maxibloom chase foam at the top of the water level. All my plants have a white foam floating on the water.

And last question. I know it's suggested to mix the nutes in hot water. I shook the hell out of them in pretty hot water and there was still grains at the bottom of the mason jar. Anyone have suggestions on how to over come this problem?

Thanks in advance

I've been using maxi bloom but I don't weigh it. I use a small scoop of bloom and a small scoop of grow for each five gallon bucket. I tried just using the bloom but it didn't work too well, the plants would get yellow and look like shit before they were done. I never worry about the stuff fully dissolving, I just scoop it out straight into the bucket.

I have used maxi bloom. The beauty of it is that it's already balanced so you can use 1, 3.5, 4, 5,6,7 g/gallon. It only matters as to what your plant wants. U can do 3.5 or lower if u find your plants are overfed, because each gram has the right balance of nutes

The maxi series is actually what I would be using if i was getting my dwc on right now.
I've been using the maxi and the floranova 1-parts ever since they came out. I switch shit up constantly, only because i get bored easily from doing the same shit over and over. I messed around with alot of dif nutes over the years, and I still like the maxi in recurculating setups best, and also gh's FN best for my dirt grows.
I also add the maxi into a jug with some hot water and shake the shit out of it before adding to the reservoirs. Imo it does speed along the mixing of the nutes. The quicker the better! And yeah, a little bit goes unmelted at first, totally normal;-)
In most of my setups I end up at 5ml/gal. I don't weigh either. Don't got time for that shit. 5ml/gal is roughly 1.7-1.8EC.
I'm usually starting rooted cuts with around 2ml/gal of the maxigrow.

i just got done a run with flora duo a&b as lucas formula. it's basically a 1:3 ratio a/b for lucas. you can do it 1:1 for veg but i'm gonna try that next go round.

how accurate is the scale you are using? i had to use my gunpowder scale when i tried maxibloom dry.

Geez, every time I see a thread about Maxibloom, people talk about how you have to shake the shit out of it and it's hard to mix. That usually turns me off. I guess I'll just have to try a little bit and see how it is. Peace.

So I'm not sure but I my plants were turning bright lime green on the growing shoots and fan leaves when I went full strength maxibloom so I backed out and actually switched to flora nova bloom at around 3ml per gallon which puts me around .9-1.0 ec. The plants have not stopped and in fact are turning yellow. This this seems to happen every time I flower 2-3 weeks in. ;( I'm not sure what's wrong. Everything is on point

Ph rises daily. Ec stays roughly the same at .9 water temps are 65 degrees

Do you use anything to aid with uptake. Silica, fulvic or humvic acids will help nutes be " more available" to the roots.

Have you tried upping ec?

I always thought you need to see drop in ec to know plants need more and since they were staying the same I thought all was good. For a bout a week I had some water temp issues but I've since added hezeinberg tea and my roots don't have slime or anything. I thought they would bounce back but I was wrong.

Plants try to keep balance. I have always been told, I'm new to hydro, to push until tip burn and back off.

I'm still learning. But science backs the acids make nutes more available to roots.

This is the reason there is no perfect ec. Some folks run 1.8ec and some run .8ec. To many factors to really know why. It really just depends what works for you.

See I've always heard this too but when I go full strength maxibloom I don't get too burn I get a lime green shoots and leaves turn lime green from the inside out. I've never experienced that before. I guess it could be a good thing but it scared me and I backed off the nutrients.

Yeah j can see that. I'll up the nutrients. I was running 1.4-1.6 last go around and leaves were so dark green. Yield was shit, and leaves curled up like no other. Here's what happened last time same plant. As you can see I can never seem to get rid of the purple stems no matter how much calmag I add or don't add.

Here's the link to my last crappy grow. Lol

Some plants are light green and some are dark.

Only other thing is ph might be a little low causing nitrogen lockout. I keep my ph 5.9 and up. Below that and I get light colored growth.

is this dwc?

i've had many times when the EC seems to pause. i would give a 24 hr flush of just 5.8 RO water.

after that, i'd mix up your flora nova bloom like this with RO or distilled water.
Lucas Formula using General Hydroponics FloraNova series
This is probably the easiest (but not cheapest - see MaxiBloom above) feeding plan available. If you're using General Hydroponics' FloraNova Bloom 1-part system, simply add 8ml of FloraNova per gallon of water* and feed.

Looks like heat and slight burn. I would see if they hold @ 1.4ec and if the burn go to 1.3ec

Here's another pic I found that I took. The other day. They've gotten a little worse since I've taken these about a week ago
