Anyone have wpm recovery stories?

New grower here. Had Some flowering plants grow white powdery mildew by doing all the wrong things. Crowded plants, high humidity, cold at night, low airflow. After reading about the white fuzz that I didn’t know existed a week ago, it’s like I created the perfect environment for the disease! I didn’t think much of it, and sprayed some water/vinegar solution on it and thought that would fix it. Well, I went out of town for one day (I usually am around my plants several times a day) and when I came back I found that my girls had a new layer of mildew on nearly everything and stunk like rotting vegetables. I have since Quarantined the plants outside, cleaned out the room, sprayed some nature’s ally fungicide everywhere, corrected the environmental conditions, and bathed every crevice of every bud and leaf with the fungicide. They look a lot better, but still smell a little rotten. Visually, it does not look like the mildew is there anymore, and isn’t moldy or brown, but it has lost it’s beautiful dank smell and still hints of smelly hay. They probably have a month of flowering left to go. Anyway, I have found lots of wpm horror stories, but I am looking to see if anyone here has any recovery stories. If I keep washing the buds, will the rest of the growth be healthy? Will the buds that had the infection ever stop smelling? Just wondering if anyone has had experience on salvaging smelly (not in a good way) bud. Thanks.

Sounds like you should maybe toss the plants and start over, but you could pull all the molding buds off see if it recovers mold free, just seems like a battle

Yeah, I’m thinking about maybe cutting everything off and seeing if it rejuvenates and seeing if it will Just start over in veg. In reading that it’s near impossible to get out of buds once they’re in there, but I was just curious if anyone has stuck it out and kept growing and seen what happens
