Anyone spoken to their Dr. yet?

2 sections from Bill H.625 text. "provided, that the qualifying patient possesses an amount of marijuana that does not exceed twenty-four (24) marijuana plants, including seedlings and mature plants, and four (4) ounces of usable marijuana. Said plants shall be stored in an enclosed, locked facility."

-(e) "Enclosed, locked facility” means a closet, room, greenhouse, or other enclosed area equipped with locks or other security devices that permit access only by a cardholder."

I'd like to think that as long as the outdoor garden is closed off in accordance to the bill it would be fine. I could see the state maybe limiting outdoor gardens to greenhouses or something but hopefully not. The number of plants I am still unsure about, 24 plants was the number in Bill H.625 but I'm not sure if that still applies :? I'd be happy with that number though :weed:

The law is still ambiguous on the amount of plants that a caretaker is allowed, after talking with a lawyer who is specializing in Medical Marijuana Law, we should stick to keeping it below 24 plants TOTAL until the DPH distinguishes. His opinion is that the DPH will allow at least 24 mature plants because of the 60 day supply rule and also the need to keep and adequate supply for patients and dispensaries. In regards to growing outdoors RICOLA had it right that it is not allowed. Fenced in and locked greenhouse with proper video security might be allowed but I would definitely wait until the DPH fills in the guidelines.

That's whatsup epsonsalt, way to be!:-P
Per my lawyers orders until MA DPH gets their paperwork figured out. Follows the letter of the law 100%. When the DPH publishes their patient/caregiver applications the information is already with my patients and the process should be fairly smooth

As smooth as anything the government does can go anyway.

Finally, feel that I have been waiting my whole life for this. Had my appt. at Cannamed yesterday and now I can legally grow my own Meds. Back in the 90's in school never thought that I could do what I love legally.!!!
For anyone who is interested, you might want to get on the ball with making your appointments, they are almost booked to the end of March, and is filling up fast. The Dr. is learning himself what medical cannabis can help with and is open to conditions that are benefited with medical cannabis.

Most MMPs are on the Chronic Pain Train. Kind of a sensitive question stormOrange; but a good one.

Maybe the question you should be asking is what "symptoms" do YOU have, that make you believe you may qualify for medical cannabis. If you're fishing for an excuse, I can assure you that I personally know a caregiver that has patients that have ADD/ADHD, insomnia, and anxiety, respectively.

The DPH doesn't have the authority to deny you your card. As long a MD Writes the letter you are good. The law leaves the final decision with the physician. The only way that COULD happen is if the law was amended. With 63% of voters voting in favor for the law as it was written, that is practically a mandate by the voters.
