anyone use cloning machines?

My first cloning attempt fizzled only 3 out of 9 look like they'll be able to make it. I have a second group of 10 cuttings that is 5 days old and they look pretty healthy so far. But still Im not exactly sure how to care for these things and I need a new foolproof method so Im looking at an 8 holed daisy cloner. Really inexpensive and Ill never need to take more than 6 clones every 2 weeks. Hopefully I get 100% success rate with that. Im just so ignorant about taking care of clones. It seems like all the tutorials tell you is how to make a cutting then dosent say shit or piss how to take care of them. and ive made some threads but i never get replies or atleast a response where i can get some real help.

Its easy, use rockwool cubes. give them 10 drops of water each day, keep under light 18/6 .wait 2 weeks, clones are done.

well shit all of my clones are showing a nutrient difficiency, not sure what it is yet and no root growth. The oasis wedges that im using are pretty narrow so im guessing I should be able to see something at day 10.

Guessing the clones are suffering an N deff.

I use a 30-site EZ-Cloner. Take 30 cuttings, dip them in rooting gel, stick in cloner, wait 12 days (more or less), and I usually get 28-30 successful clones, well over 90% success. I'd probably be at 100% all the time, but occasionally I take a cutting that's too small and it doesn't root. No work or thinking required, which is just the kind of machine I like. Pretty durable too; I've been running mine for about 3 years now, more or less nonstop, and still haven't had to replace anything, not even the foam inserts.

Same deal with me.

I use soil. I take my cuttings. Dip them in rootone rooting hormone. Then put them into the soil. I keep the soil moist but not dripping wet. I mist the clones several times a day with water. Some have turned yellow, but that is expected sence they have no roots. Just keep them misted and in a warm place with high humidity and you should be ok. Tell ya the truth this last batch I just took 5 days ago I am not even using a humidity dome. Just left them out in the open under a couple of CFL's and they look great so far. Not even yellowing.

Are you using anything like Powerclone or Olivia's, or are you just using rooting gel?
How often do you change out you EZCloner water and what do you keep your PH at?

I refill the EZ Cloner reservoir about once every 10 days, with tapwater. I've never checked the ph of anything, except once three years ago I did check my soil, and it was perfect. (Wish I had the money back for the ph tester.) I use Ocean Forest soil and Fox farm nutes, so that's probably why my soil ph is always okay -- it's basically optimized for growing pot.

I use Clonex cloning gel on the tips of the cuttings (the purple goo in the black bottle), and that's it. No rooting probs, no ph probs, everything's nice and smooth and simple, just what a stoner needs.

How tall is the ez cloner? I only have about 16 inches from my flourescents to the floor. I didnt plan on using a cloning machine so I made my seedling/clone room kinda small as far as height. Daisy cloner is only 8 inches tall.

forgot to add that the oasis wedges are pretreated with a 1-1-1 fert and I use 6.4 tap water with clonex. But im thinkin on buying some rootstock gel from earth juice. All organic.
my second batch I fed them root juice , superthrive and the 6.4 tap water,clonex emptied the standing water after 4 days and am now misting the tops with the humidity dome on. Is this right?

I have an aero cloner, love it. shut it down while I restock with seeds. Bought some clones @ club for the meantime, took a cutting "afgani kush", dipped in clonex, stuck in wet jiffy pellet, cut a water bottle in half, put cutting and jiffy pot inside cut water bottle, squeezed the other 1/2 of bottle over top, 8 days later had several roots popping out of jiffy pellet. Never touched it. had it under my t-5 25 hrs on.......humm do we really need all the fancy stuff to clone???????

Nope, you don't need fancy stuff to clone. You don't need cars to get from point A to point B either. Just easier and nicer.

Jorge cervantes says taking smaller clones are easier to root. Is this true in your opinion? I took my clones kinda small but the mom was about 2 months and showing preflowers.
