For 5x 5 i.would go with 3 apollo 10's. Each covers 2x5. 360 watts each. That will cover your whole tent. 43.2 w per sq ft. $275 ea plus shipping.

Dont get IR or uv leds. The new whites have that .

I would go with per module

5 660nm
5 630nm
5 6000k or 5000k.

Apollos can not do more than 5 whites or blues per module. They are running mA at capacity.

That sounds like too much red no? 6k is mostly white with blue right? Or please correct me lol

Also hyroot I am trying to stay as low on wattage with as much as I can get, the woman already kills me for like 900 total reason I was hoping these 2 12s would do the job but you dont think they will?

That would work it would cover a 5x4. Just raise lights barely enough to cover whole thing. Make sure to rotate your plants through out the tent.

Check and see if the electric company has any programs. The one I have to use has a c.a.r.e. Program. It takes 20% off my bill. My bill is usually around $250 after the 20%

The whites are a broad spectrum covering everything. The 6000k has much more blue than red. With the 6000k. It balances out the other reds. Thats the max you can do on whites /.blue. So you don't have much choice.

I.had an apollo8. Sold it. Got a 10 with similar. 5-660, 5-630, 2-5000k, 2 -6000k, 1-10,000k.

I dont think I needed the 10,000k. Did that for finishing. Does not do much for rest of grow. I use with a 1000w.HId. Just got a 300 w induction. Getting one more. Those will replace the 1000w. Then im leaning towards area 51. They are in nevada, lifetime warranty. Uses better quality leds. But $$$$$$. Still a better deal than alot of other leds.

If i.could afford it. I would go with all apach tech. highest par led. 2 120 w will blow away a 600. But they are $900 each.

Ya I was actually thinking of just going with a AF 600 but the apollos are just way less money and seem like a better bargain, I really like that spectrum though seems really balanced.I always thought apche or w/e was just WAY over priced never knew they were that good!or I could jus go apollo 16 on a mover lol!

If you go with area 51. 2 a51 240 (450w ea). Is a better deal. If yoi buy 2 they give you 24.5% off. That ends up being around the same as the 600. And you are getting 900 watt with 2 a51 240's.

Ya this is the email I got a little bit ago when I asked about the possible 2013 AF-600.

There's no plans for a newer version of the AF600, once the existing models are sold out, they will be forever unavailable.
The lifetime guarantee covers, for the 1st 3 years, free replacement parts w/ free shipping. Then for the lifetime after that we'll offer parts at wholesale prices + we'll pay the shipping.
Also, one thing that the new light has that the older models do not, it is future upgrade-able. The LED modules and drivers can be easily swapped out for the newest versions without any mods to the existing lamp fixture. We'll be offering those upgrades for very cheap, as there wont be any need to buy another lamp fixture, heat sink, nor have that heavy stuff shipped over seas, so it is pretty cheap for upgrades. Someone can update and upgrade their lamp every couple of years for less than 1/2 of the price of a new complete fixture.

The new light will be ready for sales around the 1st of March, and all of the details I can tell you right now about it are:

 • Unit Dimensions: over-sized panel 13"x22"x2.75" for better coverage
 • LED source: ODM Heliopto 5900k white, red and deep red
 • LED power: 36pcs 5900k white 3.3v @ 550Ma + 36pcs red and deep red 620-670nm 2.4v @ 550mA
 • Power consumption: 90w in veg mode; 145w in flowering mode
 • Fixture body: 100% all around heavy duty aluminum alloy and metal chain hanging kit
 • PAR: 1065 Umol'/s 12" below the center of the light
 • Coverage area: up to 24"x36" @ 18"-24" above the plant tops
 • Warranty: Guaranteed for life
 • Retail price: $495 each, though coupon codes will be available for a $60 off discount for the 1st few months, and pre-orders we'll have a coupon code for $100 off, we'll be accepting pre-orders in a couple of weeks.
Both models use the same components for the most part, except the new model is focused more on total durability and close to 100% as we can get with cooling + heat sinks + how much we drive the LEDs whilst maintaining enough power at the same time....
The AF-600 is more focused on raw power, but is built well, and is still backed with a lifetime guarantee.
It draws 590w and has slightly over 1800 Umol'/s 12" below the center of the light. At 28" above the plant tops it provides 800 Umol'/s at the center and covers at least 48"x48". (600-800 is ideal)
PAR-wise, because both lights- new model and AF600 use identical spectrum and ratios, they can be compared to each other in PAR and coverage quite easily. It will take 3 of the new lights totaling 435w to illuminate the same amount of square footage while providing the same amount of PAR as the AF600 consuming 590w.
You're looking at a difference of 155w for the same amount of coverage and relative intensity, except the 3 new lights will provide 3 points of core coverage rather the 1 the big light will. Either way, they are all small differences if you're just comparing 1x AF 600 vs 3x new light. if you're looking at 10 vs 30, it'd be a bigger deal.

Let me know what you think root!

EDIT: Forgot to ask isn't 550ma a lil low with Apollo saying 700ma?

Apollos are the shit, custom spectrum cheap price. They have great power and low wattage. I like them, cant wait for those king kongs to come out. When those come out putting up a grow, I know those will be great when they come out. Cidly has a great service, and great lights to boot.

Im sure you will love that af600. Endurox has had some awesome grows with that light

He told me before running leds lowe mA they last longer. He said that cidly max's theirs out which supposedly don't last as long. I don't know if that was a psychological sales tactic. But he never seems to be pushing his lights. More or less just talks about how lights are built. Where he got his parts. who built what, etc..... I don't know. Alot of lights run all 700mA constant. Others run just reds on 700mA and whites and/or blues on 1400mA.. So....

hypothetically, let's say that the Apollos are pushed harder than other LEDs and tend to burn out sooner than most. how soon would that be? they say 50000 hours. so 50+ grow cycles at that rating? how many hours/shows would you guess the LEDs that are pushed harder do? 20? 30? why not 10 just for kicks.... at the price point that Cidly is selling them for, they are still the best option. that its provided they grow equally or better than others of course. Ill know soon enough. :D

Yes LEDs last longer driving them softer, that's something I really value and respect about a51
(No one seems to care much about that, commercially and not only commercially)

Thats probably why the inda gro pontoons are supposedly going to last 5 -10 years. 20 5w led's pulling 45w.

Ya I am pretty psyched about the light, haven't felt like this since I bought my house lol, Jeff answered every question above and beyond and explained the led binning process even which is pretty cool!

Hey guys I have been looking at the Apollo 8 led too. I see you posting color spectrums like:
1 730
6 660
4 630
1 460
1 435
1 2700k
1 12k

Is this per pod on the lights? also why not copy the color spectrum of proven lights like the blackstar (lighthouse)?
