I agree 100% the only thing I do on that list is smoke weed. And I'm not even pregnant! Alcohol, cigarettes, fast food, and soda are among the worst things you can put into your body. And who wants to get with a 300 lbs alcoholic with 100 different illnesses. No one that's who.

And no smoking while the bun is in the oven. Wouldn't want to burn it. logic FTW!
i told you we should love together!!!

Lets get this going again.... i am now a proud father of a baby boy... my wife smoked a bit of my homegrown organic pot all the way through the pregnancy the baby is in great health.... i know earlier in this thread when it first started i said i was kind of against smoking pot while pregnant. But watching my wife suffer from severe morning sickness and back pain, I am not so sure i disagree with smoking pot while preggers anymore.... My wife started her pregnancy not smoking at all... she started to get severe morning sickness about a month or so in she went to the docs and they gave her a pill of some sort... she came home with these pills and found they did not work. I suggested she take a couple puffs of the bong in the morning she declined saying she did not think it was a good idea..... a couple weeks went by and the pills she was given still were not working.... she came to me and asked if i would leave her a bowl packed for when she got up in the morning, I did. To my suprise i got a phone call early in the AM at work saying she has not felt this good since she had been carrying the baby. That night i got home and she was in a better mood than she had been in a month... so i made sure she had more for each morning before she had to go to work.
The last few months she got big and she was just a tiny thing to start... So understandingly she had major back pain and was not able to sleep at night, so once again she came to me and asked for some bud this time i gave her a really strong organic indica i grew called the Black.... the black seemed to take the pain in her back away or atleast mask it .... it also helped her get to sleep at night... The rest of the time she was carrying she was great... when she didnt feel good she would smoke a bowl, when her back hurt smoke a bowl... I think Marijuana made this experience more enjoyable for the both of us... she was happy which made it a happy house.. remember guys a happy wife is a happy life...
I am not saying if your pregs go smoke a OZ a week i am saying smoke to stay comfortable i think from our experiences it helped alot, and i have talked with a few other carrying mothers who are doing or have done the same thing and all have or have had healthy bambino's

I think if she tokes hardcore like a true stoner then that is bad. but I think a toke here and there to help with nausea will pose no problem to the fetus. everything in moderation.

its not FAIR to the child , dont get me wrong , i smoke weed all day but its MY choice to do so, the child can get high when old enough to do so on their own . Dont be selfish girls jus cause you wanna relax with some bud , its not fair to your child .

The idea of smoking at all doesn't seem good but like others said edible and vaporizing sound like they would be fine but again I don't really know the effect of marijuana on a child in the womb.

There has been medical studies and the results are available online.
As far as I remember there were no significant problems, but there was also a problem in that the women in the control group also tended to use nicotine, which is quite bad.

you guysseem to be shitting over everything like preggos need to be shut ins.
holy moly..have you SEEN the prescription pills they give women for morning sickness ect, those pills have more chances of miscarriages, problems with birth defects then anything...i think theres a lack of research involved in this and more of a moral based vote.
i vote yes i am a woman and i know what women go through, our entire cycle of periods to birthgiving is nothing a man could ever imagine. I think everything in moderation of course I understand that but its all about what you men think is "acceptable" half of this conversation could be said to the countless amounts of users on her pro filling smoke into your pets faces ...apparently thats ok but not for a pregnant women to smoke?

I say, no. But I dont judge. I feel the less things to worry about the better. My children are miracles, and just knowing I did everything I could, while pregnant...makes me feel better as a mom... just in case. Why take any chance's. Peace

Too bad there was not an option for "It's none of my fucking business."

Because it's none of my fucking business.

It's a matter of privacy. Just as a woman's choice to kill her child in the womb is ultimately a matter of privacy.

My opinion is irrelevant.

Because as long as it is not my bun in the oven, it's none of my fucking business.

I don't think smoking anything in general would be good during pregnancy... all those carcinogens and what not. I don't really know if getting high during pregnancy has any bad side effects, so I can't really voice my opinion on it. I would just say if there it does something to the child then no, you shouldn't get high, otherwise do whatever. But if you're having a kid you may want to think less about the side effects of getting high during pregnancy and more about the shitload of responsibility you got on your hands.

Damn weedkills that's harsh.... Ey I read the article about this too in the high times.... They said they did test on kids in Jamaica... Some kids slow to reg n happy..n Some kids were geniuses, but they think it's jus genes...So I guess they r trying to say they didn't see any drastic alterations in effects.... Dnt know.... I don't know if ud u want to tho... But if a women needs meds to begin with n takes em would a low dose of cannabis be as bad??? Still don't know about use from expectant mothers

http://patients4medicalmarijuana.wordpress.com/2009/12/20/marijuana-cannabis-use-in-pregnancy-dr-melanie-dreher/

A landmark study conducted in the 1990s by medical anthropologist Dr. Dreher, (co-author of the book Women and Cannabis: Medicine, Science, and Sociology), gave the medical world a different insight into the use of marijuana by pregnant women in Jamaica. Dreher found that marijuana was being used in a cultural and medical context, as a way to relieve morning sickness or nausea, prevent depression and fatigue, and improve appetites. Her team observed both the mothers who used marijuana and their infants; they reported that there were no signs of birth defects or of behavioral problems in the marijuana-exposed children either during the month after birth or even several years after
